Daniel, ex-rock guitar player now unhappy and twice divorced
marketing consultant, takes a road trip from Belize to Guatemala
with his old friend and roadie, Ray, to see the Mayan ruins at
Tikal. What starts out as a lark turns into serious trouble as they
stumble into the dregs of a Central American civil war. Before they
know it, they become the targets of a nervous and suspicious
Guatemalan army, a rogue CIA operative, a desperate insurgent
leader, a mysterious woman with questionable loyalties, and a
murderous drug dealer. Along the way they are confronted with a
treacherous road of clay, a boat ride in a gale and a really big
marimba. Not necessarily in that order.
