OK if it's 4U, don't buy the 5U model

Is this definitely the 4 U version of the HD decoder ? People must be warned about the appallingly mismarketed 5 U decoder which in December 2017 replaced the 4 U. In Pretoria, the 5U is the only model one can buy. No information was given to the stores, irresponsibly, there is no instructions booklet, revealing very significant changes in the system ; no booklet or indeed ANY information online ; the DSTV website has never heard of the 5 U. Unlike any previous model, there is NO smartcard in the box : it's now welded into the decoder itself ; so when you call for help, they ask for your smartcard number, and you cannot know it without using a can opener. There is no installation voucher : now the small round sticker on the box is enough, but they don't tell you that. And despite all the ads for the ability to connect different TVs in different rooms to the same decoder, the 5U does NOT allow this, and you'll have to buy extra stuff from the installer to enable this. It's disgraceful that DSTV foisted the 5U decoder on the marked so sloppily. SO if this is the 4 U, its a much better buy than the more expensive and less satisfactory 5U
