Ergo Easy-Adjust Kneeling Chair with Backrest

The Easy-Adjust Kneeling chair is a unique seating option that allows for quick and easy seating posture adjustment. This updated version of the classic kneeling chair is improved to allow seat angle and height adjustment with the use of a gas lift lever. The backrest adjusts by hand on a simple ratchet system.

The design of a kneeling chair requires the user to sit with their knees in a bent/flexed position. The forward tilt of the seated position distributes pressure under the thighs and along the user’s lower limbs, including the shins and knees.

Sitting with one’s knees bent is not always possible or comfortable for everyone but for those that are able to sit in this position, there is significant relief of load on the lower back. It is also important that users of a kneeling chair frequently get up and move or adjust their posture on the chair to not sit with their knees flexed for hours on end.

For users with lower back pain, the kneeling chair can provide a welcome variation to their static position. The design encourages an upright posture by aligning the back, shoulders and neck while the pelvic tilt and lower back support makes it very difficult to slouch back into the chair.
