The dearly loved and desperately wanted only child of a
small-church pastor and his wife, Noah Holden has always known the
value of a single soul. Growing up under the stained-glass windows,
with a guitar in his hands, seems both a joy and a glimpse of
Heaven. He decided at age six that he would become a missionary.
His dad started looking for a good seminary. His mom was always
telling stories about her childhood in Burundi, so he thought he'd
like to go to Africa. When he was eight, he decided to be a doctor,
too. By high school, he's making every decision with Djibouti in
mind. One of his best friends helps him research pre-med programs.
The other teaches him French and Somali. Everyone in his life and
every song in his heart affirms his call from God. And then, one
night when Noah is sixteen, the music stops. *Cadence is the second
book in the Comfort series.
