I’m too fragile for the brutality of this one

Having read bestselling author Kelly Irvin before, I was expecting from “Her Every Move” to be full of suspense novel. What I didn’t anticipate was the brutality of the start of the story. It opens with a bombing and in the first quarter of the book, the story focuses on the immediate aftermath. Perhaps I am fragile from all that occurs in the world but the description of the pain endured by the lead character was all too real for me. The mystery behind who planted the bomb and is set to plant another (as described in the back cover) only arrives quite late in the book. It’s more about the fall out the deaths caused by the bombing has created and blaming those who have suffered. When the intrigue arrives, it is interesting and I can’t fault the writing, it is beautifully crafted and moving. The characters are complex and relatable. Whilst not my cup of tea, it may be yours so it’s a three out of five on the enJOYment scale for me.
