  • Introducing Z-Moves - A new element has been introduced into the Pokémon battles in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon: Z-Moves. Z-Moves are moves of great power that can only be used once per battle. When the Trainer and Pokémon’s wishes resonate with each other, and both release their full power together—the result is the explosive force of a Z-Move! All Pokémon can use Z-Moves to perform mightily in battle!
  • Move Forward with Poké Ride - One aspect of the culture in the Alola region is something known as Poké Ride, in which certain Pokémon help people get to places they wouldn’t be able to reach by using human strength alone. These Pokémon don’t join your team, but you can call on them anytime to receive their help. This practice is typical of the way of life in Alola, where humans and Pokémon are so closely bound together.
  • More Fun at the Pokémon Global Link - With the release of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, the Pokémon Global Link—the website that connects Pokémon players around the world—will end its current Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y service and will be updated to work with Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. New functions added in the update will let you enjoy Pokémon battles even more! For more information about the PGL update and the new features, check out the Pokémon Global Link (www.pokemon-gl.com).
  • Hyper Training Maximizes a Pokémon’s Power - In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, you can draw forth a Pokémon’s power to its utmost limit with Hyper Training. Pokémon grow stronger by raising their levels and increasing their base stats. However, their power is still affected by the individual strengths innate to each Pokémon. Now, with Hyper Training, Pokémon that have grown to Lv. 100 will be able to increase their individual strengths, which has never been possible before. With Hyper Training, you can increase the strength of the Lv. 100 Pokémon you’ve been adventuring with!
  • New Features Coming to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon - In the world ofPokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, you’ll discover moves more powerful than any seen before, adventures in uncharted locations, and many more delights just waiting to be explored! Get an early look at what’s to come. More detailed information about the new features in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be available soon.
  • A New Battle Format: Battle Royal - Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon feature the addition of a new battle format that has never been seen before: the Battle Royal! In the past, Pokémon battles have generally been battles of one Trainer against another. But in these Battle Royals, four players are divided in a four-way battle that pits each Trainer against each of the other three in a furious melee!
  • Meet New Pokémon Using the QR Scanner! - In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, there is a QR Scanner function that allows you to see information about Pokémon when you scan QR Code patterns. With the QR Scanner, you scan in a QR Code and check the information about the Pokémon that corresponds to that QR Code. There are QR Code patterns in various places all around you, so try scanning them.
  • The Rotom Pokédex Is Your Ally on Your Journey! - The Pokédex is a convenient tool that records information about the Pokémon you see and catch during your adventure. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, your character receives a special Pokédex from Professor Kukui to support you in your travels. It's known as the Rotom Pokédex, and it's inhabited by Rotom, a Pokémon with the power to reside in various electronic appliances. It does much more than record Pokémon info—it sparkles with its own personality. The Rotom Pokédex shows your current location and your next destination, and it also gives you advice on where to go next, based on the conversations you have with others! It's likely to be of great help to you in many parts of your adventure.
