My cat is quite big (6kg) and the collar fits him well.
I recently saw the break-away feature in action when my cat's collar snagged on a stump. Before I could pull him free, he jerked his head up and the collar popped open.
I recommend the breakaway collars for anyone who's worried about their pet's collar getting snagged on something.
