An amino acid that plays a key role in cellular energy production in the mitochondria. L-Carnitine is used for enhanced physical performance and muscle recovery after exercise as it increases the oxidative capacity of the liver and muscles during exercise and promotes recovery of muscle fibre thickness. SOLAL® uses the stabilised, highly bioavailable L-Tartrate form of L-Carnitine.

Safety in pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. Anticoagulants (Warfarin): L-carnitine may potentiate the effects of anticoagulants and should be used carefully when combined with anticoagulants.
Thyroid Hormone: L-carnitine could theoretically decrease the effectiveness of thyroid hormone replacement.
Drugs that may deplete L-carnitine: Adefovir dipivoxil, carbamazepine, cisplatin, isotretinoin, phenabarbital, phenytoin, valproic acid, zidovudine and pivampicillin.
Anti-arrythmic drugs: L-carnitine may reduce the need for beta-blockers.

| Use Instructions: |
Adults and children over 12 years of age: Take 1 capsule twice daily with or without meals. This dose should be increased to 2 capsules three times daily for weight loss, chronic fatigue states, exercise enhancement and to improve sperm motility in men.
Children 7-12 years of age: Take 1 capsule daily. In cases of ADD/ADHD this dosage can be increased to 1 capsule in the morning and 1 at midday.
