A powerful 1/2.5" Exmor R Low-Light CMOS Sensor is built-in to the compact Sony FDR-AX43 UHD 4K Handycam Camcorder to ensure improved sensitivity when capturing high-quality images, and with less noise in dark environments as well as bright shooting conditions.

The Sony FDR-AX43 UHD 4K Handycam Camcorder incorporates a built-in gimbal with Balanced Optical SteadyShot Stabilisation, helps prevent the camera from any shakes - making it perfect for while running or even zoomed in shots or recording.
The FDR-AX43 Handycam Camcorder from Sony features a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* Lens with a 20x Optical Zoom that provides a wide angle of 26.8mm - allowing you to get majority of your subject in the frame. The lens is also equipped with multi coating to help reduce unwanted reflections, ghosting, and flares. The lens can go beyond 20x optical zoom to a further 30x/40x, when using Clear Image Zoom.

Built-in to the Sony FDR-AX43 Handycam Camcorder is an advanced, and Fast Intelligent AF System that utilise accurate contrast-detection autofocus to minimise lens motion, predicting the AF range, and helps ensure even moving subjects remain in sharp focus at all times.

It also provides much lower noise audio performance all thanks to a microphone that's specifically engineered to gather clear sound from five directions with clearly defined separation when reproduced.
The Sony FDR-AX43 Handycam Camcorder also offers a variety of video recording functions, such as quality 1080p at 120 fps video recording which is perfect for sports, and everyday action; XAVC S format, which uses MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 for video compression and linear PCM for audio compression, while if you save files in an MP4 wrapper then you'll get much longer record times and it makes it easier for editing.

Dual-Video Recording is also supported where you can record two videos at the same time, where the one can be recorded in maximum quality XAVC S or AVCHD format, while the other one can be recorded as a MP4 format - making it easier to copy over and for instant sharing.

It's packed with a variety of special effects, for high-impact movies, offering Highlight Movie Maker where it automatically selects the best scenes of your recording and then creates a short MP4 highlight reel which you can then share and enjoy instantly.
The design incorporates a Manual Control Ring that allows you to assign either of the following controls: zoom adjustment, focus, or exposure.

Simple Wi-Fi/NFC connectivity to your smartphones that allows one-touch sharing in an instant as well as one-touch remote control. The NFC (Near-Field Communication) will enable you to easily transfer images directly to your Android smartphones and tablets by simply touching your NFC-compatible device to the camcorder to establish a connection.

Multi Camera Control is also supported on the Sony FDR-AX43 UHD 4K Handycam Camcorder, where it allows you to different point of views by including other camera angles. You'll be able to connect up to 5 compatible Sony cameras with a Wi-Fi connection. You can monitor everything that the other cameras are seeing on the LCD screen and then start recording on all synced cameras.
