The Sony GP-VPT1 Shooting Grip with Mini Tripod is designed for one-handed use of your Sony Camcorder or Camera. You can also fold its legs out into a mini tripod for hands-free use on a tabletop or any flat surface. The GP-VPT1 features a pan handle with wired remote control, adjustable grip angle, and zoom, photo, and start/stop record buttons. A hand strap, cable clamper, and carrying pouch come included.

The Sony GP-VPT1 Shooting Grip with Mini Tripod uses a 1/4"-20 screw to mount your camera. The wired AV cable connects to Sony's Multi Terminal connecter, then enables the user to control zoom, take photos, and start and stops recording using the buttons on the grip. The grip angle is adjustable in increments of approximately 10 degrees by pressing the angle adjust button on the side of the grip.
