Saxophonist and arranger Chris Bowden of Palmskin Productions
recieved widespread plaudits for his Time Capsule album - described
by i-D magazine as a "journey to the centre of the head". His prior
collaboration was with 4Hero, and here he is working with funky
drummer and producer Andrew Missingham who was the power behind
Barungwa. He also organised the legendary jam sessions at James
Lavelle's & Gilles Peterson's club, That's How It Is, and made
his name as a producer for the Acid Jazz label. Here they combine
with the fresh vocal talent of 17 year old Nomvula Malinga to make
music that can only be categorised loosely as urban dance with a
drum and bass sensibility.
