Kelly Smith, a valley girl from Los Angeles, has joined a group of
American Sikhs in search of a more stable and inspired life. She
travels Amritsar to perform hymns at the Golden Temple. There she
runs into Saran Gill, a journalist covering grave political events
in Punjab. They fall in love. In the year 1984, both Saran and
Kelly are inside the sacred Temple Complex when the Indian Army is
ordered to take out a charismatic Sikh leader. They witness first
hand the ensuing battle.....
