Diese Schrift versucht, neue methodische Moglichkeiten fiir die Psychopathologie des Gedachtnisses zu zeigen. Die heutigen informationstheoretischen Methoden sollten aber weniger in den Laboratorien als bei standiger klinischer Anwendung realisiert und diagnostisch bewahrt sein. Wenn wir mit diesen Anspriichen dem gegenwartigen Stand der Arbeiten vorgreifen, so verweisen wir gleichzeitig auf eine Schwache der vorliegenden Schrift, die noch ein MiBverhaltnis zwischen methodischen Aspekten und begrenzten klinischen Resultaten erkennen laBt. Diese Resultate sollten sich auch an einer aktuellen Gesamtdarstellung der Psycho- pathologie des Gedachtnisses orientieren und messen konnen. Da eine solche Darstel- lung nicht vorliegt, muBten die Grundlagen der mnestischen Psychopathologie eror- tert werden. Dabei wurde auch auf die schon weiter entwickelte psychologische Lite- ratur zuriickgegriffen, und es wurden einige morphologische und neurophysiologische Korrelate des Gedachtnisses zitiert. Unter dem fiihrenden informationspsychologischen Aspekt entstand so ein zweifellos sehr eigenwilliger Aufbau dieser Schrift, die jetzt nur einen Anfang zeigen will und daher keine weiteren Wege in dieser oder jener Richtung endgiiltig festlegen mochte.
