The scarcity of statistical data for earlier historical periods and
the relative inaccessibility of widely scattered source materials
have created difficulties for scholars attempting to focus on the
patterns of American crime. This new bibliography will make their
task easier. The first work of its kind to deal with crime in the
deep South, it lists and describes published and unpublished
materials on eight southern states from 1700 to 1930, the year the
U.S. government began to collect and compile crime statistics.
Within each geographical section, resources are organized according
to type. Monographs, journal articles, dissertations, theses and
manuscript collections are included. Listings are given for
newspaper articles covering specific crimes, criminals, and types
of criminal activity not treated in the monographic and journal
literature. Entries for crime-related fiction, film, and drama are
presented in separate sections. Complete author, name, and subject
indexes are supplied. Systematically consolidating and organizing
the available information on southern crime, this bibliography will
provide valuable assistance to scholars in the field and help to
identify promising avenues for future research.
Beginning-to-end, step-by-step guidance on how to conduct
multi-method psychological assessments from a leader in the field
The Second Edition of Conducting Psychological Assessment: A Guide
for Practitioners delivers an insightful overview of the overall
integrative psychological assessment process. Rather than focus on
individual tests, accomplished assessment psychologist, professor,
and author A. Jordan Wright offers readers a comprehensive roadmap
of how to navigate the multi-method psychological assessment
process. This newest edition maintains the indispensable
foundational models from the first edition and adds nuance and
details from the author's last ten years of clinical and academic
experience. New ways of integrating and reconciling conflicting
data are discussed, as are new models of personality functioning.
All readers of this book will benefit from: A primer on the overall
process of psychological assessment An explanation of how to
integrate the data from the administration, scoring, and
interpretation phases into a fully conceptualized report Actual
case examples and sample assessment cases that span the entire
process Perfect for people in training programs in health service
psychology, including clinical, counseling, school, and forensic
programs, Conducting Psychological Assessment also belongs on the
bookshelves of anyone conducting assessments of human functioning.
The only pocket-size reference on supervising psychological testing
and assessment In 2014, the American Psychological Association
(APA) adopted a set of guidelines for clinical supervision for
health service psychology. While technically covered by these
guidelines, supervising clinical psychological assessment includes
additional tasks (such as ensuring accurate administration,
scoring, and interpretation of tests) and tensions. Supervisors
must often instruct supervisees on the data-integration
process--which can involve more direct teaching than standard
clinical supervision--while encompassing the same interpersonal,
therapeutic, and less structured guiding aspects as psychotherapy
supervision. It is increasingly common to view clinical supervision
in the assessment process and supervision of psychotherapy as two
significantly different tasks. Surprisingly, there is very little
training and guidance available on appropriate, effective, and
beneficial methods of psychological assessment supervision.
Essentials of Psychological Assessment Supervision seeks to remedy
the lack of literature in this area, offering guidance on
supervising psychological testing and assessment. This much-needed
guide provides supervisors with authoritative, up-to-date
information on guidelines relevant to assessment supervision.
Additionally, detailed coverage of supervision of cognitive,
personality/emotional, psychoeducational, neuropsychological,
forensic, and therapeutic assessments, among others, provide
supervisors with guidance and structure in the supervision process.
Focusing on practical application, this book offers guidance on
topics such as assessment models appropriate in different areas of
assessment; diversity issues; evaluation and feedback of supervisee
performance; and ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations
relevant in each assessment context. An invaluable resource for
practitioners, this book: Offers practical advice on supervising a
wide range of clinical psychological assessments Includes
contributions from experts in their respective subfields Provides
guidance on incorporating new American Psychological Association
(APA) and Society for Personality Assessment (SPA) guidelines into
the supervision process Fills an urgent need for an up-to-date
reference on assessment supervision Essentials of Psychological
Assessment Supervision is a must-have reference for both psychology
practitioners who supervise the assessment process and instructors
of psychological testing and assessment.
This book explains what has been forgotten and possibly never known
about the number of 666. There are no books on the market that tell
this story. The book explains who the 666 Man really is according
to biblical scripture.
