Bruce Wayne (voice of Peter Weller) has now retired from his heroic duties after the death of Jason Todd aka Robin but a ruthless gang, the Mutants, are terrorising Gotham City, leaving him with no choice but to become Batman once more. Prominent figures within the community disapprove of Batman's methods, however, and the Mutants prove tough to defeat but the hero finds an ally in 13-year-old Carrie Kelley (Ariel Winter) who is eager to become his new sidekick.

'Superman: A Little Piece of Home' contains another four episodes from the series. In the title episode, Superman foils a gem heist at a new museum funded by Metropolis' mastermind criminal Lex Luthor, but mysteriously falls ill when he comes near one of their rare green gems. Luthor figures out that this rare rock is really a meteorite from Superman's home planet Krypton. But Lois Lane (Dana Delany) proves that it doesn't take superpowers to ruin Luthor's plans. In 'Speed Demons', Superman and super-cocky Flash (Charlie Schlatter) decide to race one-on-one to settle who's the fastest man on the planet, but the contest is interrupted when a mysterious villain called Weather Wizard (Miguel Ferrer) threatens to destroy Metropolis unless his demands are met. In 'The Late Mr Kent', Clark Kent digs into a murder case a little too deep and is presumed dead. In 'Where There's Smoke', Superman takes on Volcana (Peri Gilpin), a woman with fiery powers. Finally, in the full-length feature 'All-Star Superman' (2011), as a result of his arch nemesis Lex Luther (Anthony LaPaglia)'s scheming, Superman (James Denton) is overexposed to radiation and is slowly dying. Before he leaves the world forever, Superman must save it one last time from Luther's evil ways.

In 'Mystery of the Batwoman' (2003) Batman (voice of Kevin Conroy) is on the attack, targeting his arch enemy, the Penguin (David Ogden Stiers), and his criminal cohort, Rupert Thorn (John Vernon), who are plotting a scheme to sell illegal weapons. Batman (Bruce Greenwood) soon realises he may know Red Hood's real identity and when the Joker (John Di Maggio) gets involved the situation becomes even more complicated. 'Gotham Knight' (2008), set between 'Batman Begins' (2005) and 'The Dark Knight' (2008), comprises six chronological stories charting Batman (Conroy)'s progression from gifted amateur to fully-fledged crime-avenger. 'Have I Got a Story for You' tells how a group of kids are variously affected by their encounters with Batman. In 'Crossfire', Gotham City's police force are forced to conquer their distrust of the Dark Knight when they come under fire from the mob. 'Field Test' focuses on the vast array of weaponry and gadgets at Batman's disposal as he fights injustice, while 'In Darkness Dwells' has the caped-crusader locking horns with the sewer-dwelling 'Killer Croc' and 'The Scarecrow' (Corey Burton). 'Working Through Pain' explores Bruce Wayne's gruelling training regime, instigated by a mysterious Indian woman named Cassandra (Parminder Nagra), while the final segment, 'Deadshot', draws the chapters to a conclusion, with Batman having to stop a ruthlessly efficient assassin with few moral qualms. In 'Year One' (2011) Batman (Benjamin McKenzie) returns to Gotham City after spending years away training on foreign territory. Meanwhile, honest policeman Jim Gordon (Bryan Cranston) has arrived in town after being transferred from Chicago. He is sent to track Batman down but with their shared interest in ridding Gotham of its corrupt cops and criminals, the two form an unlikely alliance.

Pilot Hal Jordan (voice of Christopher Meloni) unexpectedly becomes a protector of the Universe when a dying stranger gives him a mysterious ring. For his training programme, Hal is assigned to senior Green Lantern Sinestro (Victor Garber) but soon learns of his mentor's plans to bring down the Guardians of the Universe. It is up to Hal to save the Green Lantern Corps from destruction.
