Innovative Management in Information and Production is based on the
proceedings of the Third International Symposium on Innovative
Management, Information and Production. This symposium is held by
International Society of Management Engineers. The symposium took
place on October 8-10, in HCMC, Vietnam. This book examines recent
innovative management of information and productions such as
digital collection management and operations planning, scheduling
and control.
This volume of the Chinese Water Systems subseries offers
up-to-date and comprehensive information on various aspects of the
Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. Following a
detailed introduction of the lake basin, the respective chapters
present the findings of studies examining surface and subsurface
hydrology, relationships between plant ecology and pollution of the
wetlands, changes of land cover as well as the development of
modern computational approaches to create Environmental Information
Systems for water management. Moreover, the results are
supplemented by a wealth of numerical calculations, tables, figures
and photographs to make the research results more tangible. Closing
with concise information on the "Research Centre for Environmental
Information Science" (RCEIS), the book offers a valuable guide for
researchers, teachers and professionals working in the areas of
water environment, water security and ecological restoration. The
projects have been supported by the Sino-German Centre for Science
Promotion, the Helmholtz Association and the Chinese Academy of
Sciences.
Evaluating Production Efficiency in China examines production from
engineering and statistics perspectives rather than from economics
and mathematics perspectives. The authors present an observable
benchmark as the criterion of the production efficiency to replace
the unobservable production frontier surface. This book discusses
several different computing technologies, controllable variable as
a path of identification, changes in production efficiency by
decision making on specific operating conditions, and optimal
resource allocation. The book provides a channel to tap inside the
success stories of China, exploiting the way of changes in
production efficiency during China's development in the past 30
years. This book examines the concepts and realization of
production efficiencies across all areas of the economy. Also the
book provides the perspective of foreign direct investment (FDI)
absorption to identify how Chinese economy changes in production
efficiency.

The main objective of the ICITMS 2012 is to provide a platform for
researchers, engineers, academics and industrial professionals from
all over the world to present their research results and
development activities in Information Technology and Management
Science. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates
to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, to
establish business or research relations and to find global
partners for future collaboration.
Soft materials with nanometer scale aspects have been heavily used
in biomedical science. Instead of providing a broad introduction of
soft materials and their biomedical applications, this book focuses
on the preparation of molecular assemblies of biotechnologically
relevant biomimetic systems with an emphasis on medical
applications.
Ulam Stability of Operators presents a modern, unified, and
systematic approach to the field. Focusing on the stability of
functional equations across single variable, difference equations,
differential equations, and integral equations, the book collects,
compares, unifies, complements, generalizes, and updates key
results. Whenever suitable, open problems are stated in
corresponding areas. The book is of interest to researchers in
operator theory, difference and functional equations and
inequalities, differential and integral equations.
