James Bond (Sean Connery) pits his wits against the power-crazed
criminal mastermind Goldfinger (Gert Frobe) in the third of the
long-running spy series. Mr Finger has secured most of the gold in
the world and now plans to render the rest useless. Henchman Oddjob
(Harold Sakata) helps him realise his plans, thanks to his
unusually lethal bowler hat, whilst Pussy Galore (Honor Blackman)
is the glamorous pilot who Goldfinger hopes will execute the raid
on Fort Knox that will make him the richest man in the world. Can
Bond save the day again or has he finally met his match in the man
with the Midas touch? Includes the famous customized Aston Martin
DB5, complete with machine guns, smoke screen and ejector seat.

Barbara Pellegrino present a seven-step method for identifying and
effectively pursuing personal goals to fulfill your life.
With a workbook format, "Purposeful Action" helps you recognize
and reprioritize your goals and work on what's important to you by
exploring six key questions: What will make you happy? What event
brought you to this decision? What are your strengths and
opportunities? What can prevent you from achieving your goal? What
are your personal investments? When do you want to accomplish this
goal? With checklists and exercises, "Purposeful Action" helps you
develop a plan of action for living an abundant and purposeful
life. You are not merely making a New Year's resolution; you are

The future of the Common Fisheries Policy depends on progress in
the relevant areas of research. This applies to the whole range of
management decisions, where precise, reliable and complete data are
essential to inform those who must decide on the pursuit of
existing activities, especially in the area of maritime fisheries
and the development of promising new activities such as
aquaculture. The Commission wishes to act as a catalyst by
promoting the circulation of information and the co-ordination of
research programmes. DG XIV has therefore decided to compile this
directory, which lists the research centres of the Member States.
Specific information from each research centre is also listed, for
example research activities and facilities.
An original compilation of diverse sources on Chinese patterns
of thinking and behavior, this comprehensive reference work is
addressed primarily to social scientists, psychologists,
psychiatrists, and mental health professionals. More than 3500
bibliographic citations are included, some 1800 of which are
abstracted. Materials were selected from a painstaking search of
the literature in psychology, psychiatric, and related disciplines
and cover primarily Chinese and English-language sources, although
some relevant publications in other languages are also cited.

providing easy access to material often scattered in books,
monographs, and periodicals addressed to different audiences, this
volume performs a major service for students and scholars involved
in cross-cultural or Chinese studies.
The volume begins with an introductory chapter that presents
quantitative data on publication trends and offers a qualitative
evaluation of the literature. The studies that follow are divided
into 13 chapters largely based on the American Psychological
Association content classifications. Within chapters citations are
arranged alphabetically by author. Items from non-English sources
have been translated into English, while many English abstracts of
Chinese publications were extensively edited or rewritten. In
addition, an introduction and introductory notes to each chapter
place the citations in context. As author index and an extensive
subject index provide cross-referencing and aid in literature
searches. An invaluable acquisition for any library with a Chinese
studies or psychology collection, this volume will both introduce
readers to the Chinese psychological literature and facilitate
their access to this important body of work.
The present situation of data protection in health informatics in
Europe can be described as alarming. Notwithstanding the ever
increasing use of information technology, a decade has passed since
the appearance of the council of Europe Data Protection Convention
and the recommendation on Automated Medical Data Banks, without
much progress being achieved. To enable the best use of information
technology in the health sector, urgent action needs to be taken.
The causes for concern stem from two major factors, Firstly, when
the question is asked whether the principles of data protection are
being respected in the health information sector, it is impossible
to give a definite answer. Secondly, the participants at the
working conference, from their personal non-systematic observations
shared the opinion that in the fast majority of cases the
principles and recommendations have not properly been implemented.
Experience from the field shows that in the health sector the
people involved are often indifferent and in some cases reluctant
to ensure the implementation of data protection measure. Both the
indifference and possible even some of the reluctance may arise
from the general lack of awareness about the issues involved. This
makes the implementation of the required organizational measures
difficult.

The Multilingual Illustrated Dictionary of Aquatic Animals and
Plants provides a unique reference to the names of 1532 species of
fish, crustaceans, molluscs, seaweeds and other fishery products
that are landed worldwide. The names of these species can vary
significantly between neighbouring regions of a country, from the
size of the fish, from the stage of its life cycle, from the season
of the year, and from its degree of treatment after capture.
Co--published by the European Commission and Fishing News Books,
the Multilingual Illustrated Dictionary of Aquatic Animals and
Plants seeks to address this problem and to eliminate much of the
existing confusion. New to the Second Edition of this acclaimed
Dictionary is the addition of Finnish and Swedish to each existing
entry. The Dictionary has been expanded to include new species and
illustrations. For each entry, the following information is given:
Reference number (the number given to the species within the
index); Scientific (Latin) name; Family name; English name; Dutch
name; French name; Danish name; German name; Greek name; Italian
name; Portuguese name; Spanish name; Finnish name; Swedish name.
Comprehensively illustrated, the New Second Edition of the
multilingual Illustrated Dictionary of Aquatic Animals and Plants
is an essential reference for all involved in the commercial
fishing industries both within and beyond the boundaries of the
European Union
The future of the Common Fisheries Policy depends on progress in
the relevant areas of research. This applies to the whole range of
management decisions, where precise, reliable and complete data are
essential to inform those who must decide on the pursuit of
existing activities, especially in the area of maritime fisheries,
and the development of promising new activities such as
aquaculture. Every day the Director-General of DG XIV requires more
and more information to prepare decisions which will affect the
future of all those in the Community who are dependent on fishing
and aquaculture. There is thus a high level of direct demand from
DG XIV. Over and above this immediate and specific requirement for
short- and medium-term applications, research affects the
competitivity of the Community. This is one area which favours the
collaboration across frontiers of all those who seek to advance
knowledge. But although DG XIV is uniquely placed to appreciate the
importance of research into fisheries and aquaculture, there is no
question of succumbing to the temptation to directly control the
scope of research or its conduct. The notion of subsidiarity can
best be understood by examining the existing structures in the
Member States. The Commission must act first and foremost as a
catalyst, by promoting the circulation of information and the
coordination of research programmes.

The increasing scale and intensity of modern blast-furnace
operation, combined with a simultaneous reduction in coke rate,
have led to more stringent coke quality requirements with a greater
emphasis on the coke's (1 2) role as a burden spacer ' *
Accordingly, coke quality data limited to chemical composition,
initial size grading and ambient size stability are insufficient to
predict the coke's behaviour in use. A realistic assess ment of the
likely performance of coke should also take into consideration its
resistance to degradation in the chemical and thermal environment
of the blast furnace. A test is, therefore, needed which simulates
as far as possible the mechanical, chemical and thermal conditions
of the smelting process and measures the resultant changes in size
distribution of the coke, and hence in its bulk permeability to gas
flow, using representative samples of the feed coke as charged to
the furnace. Moreover, new developments in coke production make it
necessary to reassess coke testing so as to guide the coke producer
in making the best use of available coals. The mode of mechanical
coke breakage at ambient temperature has been extensively
characterised and related to changes in the coke's bulk
permeability(3). In contrast, the causes of deterioration in the
hot strength and size of bulk coke arising from its partial
gasification with carbon dioxide and reheating to high temperature
are relatively less explored. The present paper describes the v.
The International Conference "Solar Energy for Development" was
held from the 26th to the 29th of March 1979 in Varese, Italy. The
Conference was organised by the Commission of the European
Communities to assess the potential of solar energy for meeting the
needs in the developing countries, particularly in their rural
areas. The objectives of the Conference were threefold: - To review
those solar energy technologies which are appropriate for large
scale utilisation in the short and medium term; - To appraise
problems which may be alleviated by a better use of conventional
solar energy and the introduction of appropriate new solar
technologies; - To recommend ways and means of extending the use of
solar energy, taking into account technical and non-technical
criteria. Before the Conference, in September and October 1978,
five regional solar energy seminars were held in Nairobi (East
Africa), Bamako (West Africa), Amman (Arab countries), Caracas
(Latin America) and New Delhi (South and South-East Asia). With the
help of the experts at these seminars a general working document
was established and made available to the participants of the
Conference. 280 experts from 80 countries all over the world were
invited by the Commission to attend the Conference. The United
Nations and 11 other regional and international organisa tions were
represented. The Conference was opened by Dr. Guido Brunner, Member
of the Commission responsible for Energy, Research, Science and
Education, in the presence of Dr."

Camp David is American diplomacy's secret weapon. The home of the
2015 GCC and 2012 G8 summits, the 2000 Peace Summit, and the 1978
Peace Accords, the camp has played a vital role in American history
over the past century, inviting Presidents and international
leaders alike to converge, converse, and, perhaps most importantly,
relax. A peaceful mountaintop setting, crucially removed from the
constant scrutiny of the press, Camp David has served as both a
site of critical diplomacy and unparalleled tranquility. It is
where President and Mrs. Reagan rode horses through the mountains,
where Gerald Ford could take a moment to jump on a trampoline with
his daughter, where Nixon rode shotgun with Soviet President Leonid
Brezhnev, and where Jimmy Carter could find the ultimate
flight-sledding-only to break his clavicle two weeks before the end
of his tenure. Under the pressure and stress, it is easy to forget
that those occupying the highest seat in the land are, at the end
of the day, human but at Camp David, we finally get to see these
leaders at their most vulnerable, their most unguarded, and as
their most true selves.
