All-solid-state batteries have gained much attention as the next-generation batteries. This book is about various Li ion ceramic electrolytes and their applications to all-solid-state battery. It contains a wide range of topics from history of ceramic electrolytes and ion conduction mechanisms to recent research achievements. Here oxide-type and sulfide-type ceramic electrolytes are described in detail. Additionally, their applications to all-solid-state batteries, including Li-air battery and Li-S battery, are reviewed.Consisting of fundamentals and advanced technology, this book would be suitable for beginners in the research of ceramic electrolytes; it can also be used by scientists and research engineers for more advanced development.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 12th Annual Conference on Advanced Computer Architecture, ACA 2018, held in Yingkou, China, in August 2018. The biennial International Workshop on Coding and Cryptology (IWCC) aims to bring together many of the world's greatest minds in coding and crypt- ogy to share ideas and exchange knowledge related to advancements in c- ing and cryptology, amidst an informal setting conducive for interaction and collaboration. It is well known that fascinating connections exist between coding and cr- tology. Therefore this workshop series was organized to facilitate a fruitful - teraction and stimulating discourse among experts from these two areas. The inaugural IWCC was held at Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, China, during June 11-15, 2007 and attracted over 80 participants. Following this s- cess, the second IWCC was held June 1-5, 2009 at Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China. Zhangjiajie is one of the most scenic areas in China. The proceedings of this workshop consist of 21 technical papers, covering a wide range of topics in coding and cryptology, as well as related ?elds such as combinatorics. All papers, except one, are contributed by the invited speakers of the workshop and each paper has been carefully reviewed. We are grateful to the external reviewers for their help, which has greatly strengthened the quality of the proceedings. IWCC 2009 was co-organizedby the National University of Defense Techn- ogy (NUDT), China and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Daneben tritt Russland im Zeitraum dieses Bandes neu in das Blickfeld des politischen Autors Leibniz, u. a. mit einer Denkschrift fur Zar Peter I. uber die Forderung der Wissenschaften und Kunste in Russland. "Es hat wohl kein Mensch soviel gelesen und studiert, mehr nachgedacht und geschrieben als Leibniz. Und dennoch gibt es keine Gesamtausgabe seiner Werke." Seit dieser Klage des franzoesischen Aufklarers Denis Diderot versuchen Generationen von Gelehrten, den grossen, etwa 200.000 Blatt umfassenden Nachlass des Universalgelehrten Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz editorisch zu erschliessen und der Forschung zuganglich zu machen. Die groesste ihrer Art ist die aus acht Reihen bestehende so genannte Akademieausgabe, die inzwischen von der Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Goettingen und der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften gemeinsam betreut wird. 52 Bande sind bisher erschienen. Schon langst gilt diese Ausgabe als Mutter vieler nationalsprachiger Editionen - chinesischer, japanischer, spanischer sowie des "Yale Leibniz". Die Editionsstellen in Berlin, Hannover, Munster und Potsdam sind zugleich Ansprechpartner internationaler Leibniz-Forschung. Unter Leitung von Wenchao Li, Leibniz-Stiftungsprofessor an der Leibniz Universitat Hannover, fand im Dezember 2011 in Hannover erstmals eine internationale Tagung statt, die sich spezifisch mit der Tradition, Bedeutung und Herausforderung der Leibniz-Edition auseinandersetzte. Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer kamen aus Japan, Frankreich, Russland, Spanien, Italien, den USA und Deutschland.

Dieser Band fuhrt 16 Aufsatze von Herbert Breger zusammen, die um Leibniz' Arbeiten zur Mathematik und Physik und ihre philosophischen Voraussetzungen kreisen. Drei interessante und ungewoehnliche Aspekte stehen hierbei im Vordergrund: Kontinuum, Analysis und Informales. Leibniz' Kontinuum und seine Analysis sind gerade wegen ihres Unterschieds zur heutigen Mathematik interessant. Anhand zahlreicher Beispiele wird ferner die Frage nach dem Verhaltnis zwischen der mathematischen Rationalitat und der Kunst gestellt und die nach den engen Beziehungen zwischen Mathematik und Philosophie bei Leibniz eroertert. Es wird gezeigt, dass der Leibniz zugeschriebene Brief zum Prinzip der kleinsten Wirkung, der Anlass zu einem Streit zwischen Maupertuis, Samuel Koenig und Voltaire wurde, eine Falschung war. Das Buch erscheint im Leibniz-Jahr 2016, in dem auch der X. Leibniz-Kongress stattfindet.
