Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: 1, Universite libre de Bruxelles, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Schon oft ist man der Meinung gewesen, dass in Bernhards Werk Der Untergeher, das im Jahre 1983 veroffentlicht wurde, die ganzen Goldbergvariationen Bachs zu erkennen sind. Eindeutige Beweise dafur gibt uns Bernhard jedoch nicht. Im Mittelpunkt des Untergehers befindet sich das Thema der Musik, genauer gesagt, das Scheitern des Pianisten Wertheimers an dem Genie Glenn Goulds. Der Roman ist nicht n In dieser Arbeit wird versucht, anhand der Goldbergvariationen von Bach die musikalische Struktur der Bernhardschen Sprache in einer Analyse von bestimmten Passagen herauszuarbeiten. Nach einer Erlauterung dessen, was in Bernhards Roman Fiktion und Wirklichkeit ist, werden die Goldbergvariationen kurz dekonstruiert und dann die musikalischen Elemente in Bezug auf den Untergeher analysiert. Somit wird sich zeigen, ob Bernhard tatsachlich bewusst Elemente aus den Goldbergvariationen von Bach in seinem Roman eingearbeitet hat.
