Worldview: Implications for Missionary Work guides readers through
the understanding of the meaning and functions of worldview among
the peoples of the world. After an investigation of the animistic,
syncreticist, monotheistic, and postmodern worldviews, the book
suggests ways of witnessing and ministering to those who hold these
various beliefs.
The method of Bible Storying is having increased use for evangelism
and Chrisitan nurture. This book takes a forward step in showing
how Bible Storying can directly relate to the exciting opportunity
of starting new congregations. The authors are all experienced in
the use of Bible Storying for church planting.
The explosive growth and rapid expansion of the Hispanic population
is transforming the social, economic, and religious panorama of
America. Hispanic Americans are now the largest minority group in
America and are projected to comprise one fourth of the American
population by the year 2050. According to the latest Census Bureau
report, "the U.S. Hispanic population passed the 42 million mark
and accounted for half of the growth of the US population since
2000, indicating that the nation's largest minority group is
increasing its presence even faster than in the previous decade."
This book analyzes these realities and explores their implications
for leading Hispanics to a personal experience of salvation in
Jesus Christ, establishing biblically sound, culturally relevant,
reproducing congregations among them, enabling these congregations
to experience healthy growth and meaningful ministry in their
communities, and encouraging them to participate in the
implementation of the Great Commission by sending Hispanic
missionaries to highly strategic parts of the world
Two well-known authorities on Bible Storying relate experiences in
using Bible Storying methods in personal witnessing opportunities.
These materials present not only accounts of actual witnessing
experiences but also guidance the methods of Bible Storying.
Gospel in the Rosary: Bible Study on the Mysteries of Christ
focuses on the Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries
that relate closely to the life of Jesus and that are clearly
presented in the Bible. In keeping with the affirmation of John
Paul II "that everything in the life of Jesus is a sign of his
Mystery" and that there is a need to supply the biblical
foundations on which the mysteries are based, additional Bible
studies have been included under the Glorious Mysteries. These
studies focus on two dialogues that Jesus had (Nicodemus, The
Samaritan Woman) and two parables that he taught (The Prodigal Son,
the Rich Man and Lazarus). Through these Bible lessons we can come
to a clearer understanding of the love of God and of the mission of
Jesus to draw us near to our Heavenly Father, and to prepare us for
our life with him in heaven.
Sharing the Good News with Roman Catholic Friends outlines the
biblical doctrine of salvation and indicates how this message can
and should be communicated with persons in the Roman Catholic
tradition. The primary audiences are Evangelical Christians who
desire to share the Gospel with Roman Catholics, evangelical
Christians who are former Roman Catholics, and nominal Roman
Catholics who have not experienced the personal relationship with
Jesus Christ. The authors point to Jesus Christ who alone is the
source of eternal life.
