There is--or at least ought to be--power in prayer. The Bible, after all, is filled with stories of people who prayed and saw amazing results. Jesus, our Discipler, besides praying often and with the clear expectation of results, taught us "to always pray and to never give up." Yet, too many of us of lack the power to pray consistently and effectively. Prayer is often a duty seldom performed, instead of a living experience of connecting with heaven's power. The Bible's true statement, "Faith without works is dead," is also true when turned backward: an absence of prayer in our life demonstrates the absence of faith in our heart ... faith in the actual effectiveness of prayer as the Bible describes it: If we pray, God will act; if we don't pray, he won't.

The sole aim of Power to Pray is to increase this faith in all of us, so that our Father, who eagerly waits for us to pray, can act on earth as in heaven. The rest is up to you ... and the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that the immense purposes of God will be accomplished through your simple prayers.

Hay - o por lo menos debe haber - poder en la oracion. La Biblia, despues do todo, esta llena de historias de individuos que oraron y vieron resultados increibles. Jesus, nuestro Apostol, ademas de orar constantemente y con clara expectativa de resultados, nos enseno a "Orar siempre y nunca renunciar." Sin embargo, muchos de nosotros no poseemos el poder para orar regularmente y efectivamente. La oracion se convierte entonces en un deber en vez de una experiencia viviente que nos conecta con el poder de los cielos. La Biblia now habla verdad "La fe sin accion esta muerta," y estgo es tambien cierto cuando se revierte: la ausencia de oracion en nuestras vidas demuestra ausencia de fe en nuestros corazones...La fe se muestra en la efectividad de nuestra oracion tal como lo dice la Biblia: si nosotros oramos, Dios actuara; si nosotros no oramos, el no lo hara. El proposito fundamental del poder de la oraction es incrementar la fe en nosotros para que entonces nuestro Padre, quien ansiosamente espera por nuestra oracion, pueda actuar en la tierra tal como en el cielo. El resto es por nuestra cuenta...y la del Espiritu Santo. Mi oracion es que los inmensos propositos de Dios sean completados a traves de sus oraciones.
