The world is in trouble. Growing political unrest, cataclysmic
cancer rates and an unprecedented economic downturn have even the
most optimistic citizens fearful of the future. Then the
unthinkable happens - human conception stops. As it becomes clear
that nowhere in the world are babies being conceived, full-blown
panic ensues. Marshal law is imposed in the United States and it
becomes evermore obvious that the President isn't in control. Two
couples, both pregnant before conception stopped, fearing for their
lives and the lives of their unborn children contemplate a
desperate plan to escape the madness before it's too late.
This novel is the Bronze Medal winner in the action/adventure
fiction category of the 2012 Living Now Book Awards. Just how far
would a sitting Administration go to secure a second term? Could
their behind-the-scenes intrigues actually result in the
destruction of political opponents? Would murder be beyond their
limits? When two common guys find themselves in the middle of
big-time politics they quickly learn that America's political
system isn't exactly what our forefathers envisioned.
IN THIS BOOK, Members of the Instrumentation and Controls Division,
share the history of that Division and the practice of measurement
and controls, as practiced at ORNL.
The I&C Division was unique in the world, because it
included the Craftspeople as well as the Scientists and Engineers
in one organization, under the same management.
