After 10 years, and some 10,000 miles of driving a 40+ year old car up and down the West Coast of Florida to hundreds of car shows, I have written a book about this hobby/passion of mine. This hobby saved my life. I went from being miserably retired, to miserably trying to restore a classic car. But I lived through it, barely at times, and was able to eventually get my car into National Magazines, and to display it at National Car Shows. This is the story of my INSANE JOURNEY through the world of classic cars. It BEGINS with my uneventful, boring retirement. It QUICKLY LEAPS FORWARD into the madness of my buying a classic car. Then RAPIDLY SPIRALS DOWNWARD in my attempt to restore that car. It GLARINGLY HIGHLIGHTS my head-on collisions with the classic car community and its residents, while PAINFULLY DETAILING my ongoing trials as I travel this never-ending bumpy road. It is a mostly true story line heavily spiced with exaggeration, satire and humor.
