MISSING LOVE CHILD HUSH MY MOUTH Author- Eugene McDuffie Penny had experienced firsthand heartache and emotional pains at just a few years of age. Just imagine for a moment having turmoil or troubles in your life that you could never ever tell anyone about. Especially people that you think love or care about you. What would you do? Penny told me the day I met him that he stayed away from asking his Papa or Mama too many questions. "I was confused. Papa told me never to tell my Mama anything. My Mama told me never to tell Papa anything. I just hushed my mouth." "I made a dog out of clay at school and I couldn't wait to get home from to show it to my Mama and Papa. I still remember the night I dropped my dog of clay and my heart shattered into a billion pieces." If something we love is broken, can anyone put the pieces of a shattered life back together? Is it ever too late to start your life all over again? My hope is that as you read these pages, the message of Penny's story messages will help you to break free from the silence of your adult or childhood pain. That you will find the strength, courage, hope, and love you need to live. When I met Penny his first words to me were "Love was missing in my life" this is where the story of "Missing Love Child" begins. Eugene McDuffie 11/4/2013

Floating on the Missouri (Paperback, New Ed): James Willard Schultz Floating on the Missouri (Paperback, New Ed)
James Willard Schultz; Edited by Eugene Lee Silliman
R661 Discovery Miles 6 610 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This is a true story of a float trip down the Missouri. It compares, in some ways, to the most famous float trip in American literature, the one that Huck Finn took down the Mississippi.

At the end of his trip, young Huck says, ..".I reckon I got to Light out for the Territory ahead of the rest, because Aunt Sally she's going to adopt me and civilize me, and I can't stand it. I been there before."

That young escapee, to extend the comparison, is epitomized in James Willard Schultz. Just expelled from military school, the seventeen-year-old Schultz goes West, stays, grows up and lives among the Indians, marries into the Blackfoot tribe, and lived the kind of life he loved.

In the fall of 1901, Apikuni and his Piegan wife, Nataki, took a long float trip down the Missouri. They camped out and lived off the land for the entire trip, from Fort Benton to the juncture off the Missouri and Milk rivers. The account of that trip is presented here in book form for the first time.

Like Huck's adventure, this was something more than a simple float trip. It was a trip through space and time through memories of early experiences along the river, of friends and enemies (Assiniboines, Crees, Sioux, and others), of early white trappers and traders, of carefree days of the buffalo hunt, of a naturalist's dream world populated with the deer, eagle, antelope, fish, bear, wolf, and animals known only in Indian mythology.

This idyll was nostalgic trip that could not be repeated, for the river and world were changing, Apikuni and Nataki knew first-hand the many changes of the past and sensed the momentous changes coming.

With the advance of the white man's world, with the dams and reservoirs, it would be impossible for today's adventurer to duplicate the trip described here. But, for the armchair adventurer, it is still possible, though the account that has been left for us, to take this remarkable trip.

Angels Without Wings (Paperback): Eugene Lee McDuffie Angels Without Wings (Paperback)
Eugene Lee McDuffie
R362 Discovery Miles 3 620 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Utilizing personal testimonies to communicate his spiritual wisdom and insight into the world of gang violence and substance abuse, Eugene McDuffie once again delivers a message of hope and redemption in "Angels without Wings," the follow up to his book "Missing Love Child." "I already have accepted the fact I was born to raise myself and did everything for me by myself. I am my own father." Far from the dry rhetoric of the customary treatment of the issue of gangs, Eugene breaths vibrant life and great understanding into the depictions of his own experiences and those of the children with which he has worked as a youth advocate. Having experienced life on the streets firsthand, Eugene is uniquely qualified and capable of presenting the issues in a manner accessible to people of all walks of life. "Hope," who spoke some words to me that I am sure I will never forget as long as I shall live. Her words to me were: "When one door closes.... Attacking the subject matter from all angles, Eugene educates his readers as to how gang violence, and the greater societal problems of which gangs are a symptom, effects all aspects of society, and further suggests a call to action, and how by strengthening families and an individual's relationship with God, the problem can be addressed at its roots. Eugene Lee McDuffie's "Angels without Wings" boldly takes a stand against gangs, and bullies, exposing the pitfalls of entanglement in gang involvement. "Children develop an attachment to those who show them attention and respond to their needs reliably. The bond that a child has with its caregiver will impact the child for the rest of its life." We all can do something about this problem, I learned, as I stepped out on faith alone to educate and help children stay away from gangs, drugs and violence. The question is: Are there angels? You and I know the answer is yes There are definitely angels Any person, if we choose to be, can be an Angel without Wings
