GOLDSMITH (1892-1964), was an important teacher of practical
mysticism, and devoted most of his life to the discovery and
teaching of spiritual principles which he founded and called "The
Infinite Way." "Love Gratitude" is Goldsmith's treatment of the
exercise of love and gratitude from the perspective of the
"Infinite Way." Included are chapters on "The Exercise of Love,"
The Source of Love," "Love knows No Limitations," "Love is Supply,"
"Forgiveness," and others.
All people eventually come face-to-face with their inner Truth at
some point in life. As they grow and begin to observe the world
around them, the desires arise for a certain lifestyle or material
luxury that tends to distort the perception of this inner truth,
blinding them from the reality of their soul. As influences from
the outer environment conflict with the inner Truth, the results
can have an adverse impact your health, finances, and personal
relationships. There is a greater power to overcoming this dilemma.
Joel S. Goldsmith invites us to discover the spiritual source of
Truth that is free from all material consciousness knowing that,
"Once it has been revealed to us that so-called conditions exist as
appearances, there is nothing more to be done. We have done all."
Here is a collection of insightful essays for those prepared to
relax their grip on fragmented spirituality in order to rise to the
indivisibility of Truth -- God.
From the author of "The Infinite Way"
The timeless words of Joel Goldsmith have provided comfort to
individuals from generation to generation who ultimately reach a

spiritual life in a material world?" Blending insightfulness with a
refreshing simplicity of approach, Awakening Mystical Consciousness
provides essential principles that enable readers to cope with the
personal, community, national, and global problems that wear down
the soul such as physical well-being, relationships, financial
setbacks, and limitations. Special empha sis is then placed on
attaining a con sciousness of spiritual empowerment that overcome
and soothe common fears that engulf the world. From this enlighten
ment comes the opportunity to awaken and embrace the inner peace
and spiritual power that brings in its wake personal wholeness and
world stability.
Standing on Fishes is the result of the author's attempt to
continually live the questions "who am I, why am I here?" It is
through the process of asking these questions that we continually
discover and live our destiny. According to Homestead, "Over the
years, people have often asked me why I don't seem to want a more
settled life and career. The truth is that once I risked following
my inner promptings, I could no longer ignore them. That would be
an act of rebellion against my deepest self. I made a conscious
decision to deal with the practicalities of life as best I could
without letting them rule me. I felt this was the most reasonable
thing I could do. My career would be the path of my soul".
Standing on Fishes is a unique book of spiritual reflections
designed to make an earth-based spirituality accessible to anyone
seeking to live a richer and more meaningful life. Homestead has
organized autobiographical experiences and poetic excerpts from his
personal journal into three sections -- solitude, relationships and
the world -- in which he catalogues the struggles and revelations
of years of spiritual practice.
SPIRITUAL INTERPRETATION OF SCRIPTURE The Scriptures of the world
seem to tell of two powers because they have been taken literally
instead of interpreted in the light of spiritual inspiration. This
has brought about a belief of separation between God and man, and
this sense of duality is the root of all discord. So says Joel
Goldsmith in Spiritual Interpretation of Scripture. But, he says
encouragingly, when we interpret Scripture spiritually, the deepest
lessons of the Bible by which we may live are revealed to us.
Foremost among these lessons is that God is the only reality of our
being, and our conscious realization of our oneness with God will
make the promises in Scripture real in our experience. Goldsmith
intrigues the reader with the idea that the Bible is not a book
outside of ourselves or a series of events that took place
thousands of years ago. He says, Scripture is the unfolding of
characters and movements or happenings that are taking place within
you right this minute. Every biblical experience can be found in
your consciousness at some time or other. We embody within
ourselves every Bible of the world, every philosophy, character and
story, Goldsmith says, and when spiritually interpreted, these can
be understood as states and stages of our spiritual development and
unfoldment. Working with Bible stories such as Creation, the
Exodus, the Ten Commandments, Ruth and Naomi, and Joseph and his
brothers, Goldsmith shows the reader how these really tell of our
own experiences on the spiritual path, and he reveals the lessons
they hold. Addressing the coming of the Messiah, a monumental theme
in Scripture, Goldsmith says, The Old Testament contains many
prophecies of the coming of spiritual man, Messiah, Savior. The
belief is that these prophecies referred to the coming of one
particular spiritual man ... but the advent of the Christ is the
coming of perfection in you and me. Throughout Spiritual
Interpretation of Scripture, Goldsmith offers fresh new meaning to
many Bible passages and stories and demonstrates that the
principles found in the Bible are echoed in many other Scriptures
of the world. These statements in the Bible, he says, which really
are laws, must become a very part of our being. They must be
realized, not merely declared or stated; they must become the very
fabric of our being, then we can experience the outward result.
