Drama based on the teenage years of writer and director Lori Petty. Agnes (Jennifer Lawrence) is the oldest of three daughters who finds herself caring for her younger siblings when her single mother (Selma Blair) turns to prostitution, drugs and alcohol after meeting a pimp named Duval (Bokeem Woodbine), who seems to have a fondness for Agnes. With their house overrun by gamblers, criminals and other seedy characters the girls struggle to lead a normal life. Cammie (Chloë Grace Moretz) escapes the chaos of the house only to sit in bars and Bee (Sophi Bairley) wants nothing more than to run away and be adopted, while Agnes tries to earn enough money to support her family and manage the expectations of being a star basketball player.
Henry Alex Rubin directs this contemporary drama written by Andrew Stern and starring Jason Bateman, Frank Grillo and Alexander Skarsgård. The film follows three separate, but interconnected, storylines which illustrate the dangers that can arise from sharing information over the internet. Bateman stars as Rich Boyd, a hard-working family man whose son Ben (Jonah Bobo) becomes the victim of cyber bullies and Skarsgård plays one half of a married couple who have recently had their identities stolen.
Nicole Kidman and Jason Bateman star in this dark comedy drama based on the novel by Kevin Wilson. Annie and Baxter Fang (Kidman and Bateman) had an extremely unusual childhood, with their parents using them as props in their performance art pieces. As Annie grows up to be a successful actress and Baxter an acclaimed author, they return to their family home after Baxter is shot and in need of recuperation. When they receive a call from the police saying that their parents are missing and believed dead, the siblings disagree over whether the news is real or simply their most elaborate performance. The cast also includes Christopher Walken, Maryann Plunkett and Kathryn Hahn.
All five films in the American teen dance franchise. 'Step Up' (2006) stars Channing Tatum as Tyler Gage, a rough street kid with raw talent. When Tyler finds himself doing community service at a school for the performing arts, he meets Nora (Jenna Dewan), a beautiful and privileged classically-trained dancer who's searching for a temporary replacement for her injured dance partner. Spying Tyler's smooth moves, Nora decides to take a chance on him... In 'Step Up 2 - The Streets' (2008), Andie (Briana Evigan) is a member of an elite inner-city dance crew called the 410. When the 410 pretend to be muggers on a subway car and then stage an impromptu dance show for the somewhat bewildered passengers, Andie's guardian (Sonja Sohn) ships her off to the Maryland School of the Arts. Andie's urban street style, of course, goes against the grain of the strait-laced school... In 'Step Up 3' (2010), a group of young underground street dancers in New York - including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson) - team up with NYU students Moose (Adam G. Sevani) and Camille (Alyson Stoner) to take on the world's best hip hop dancers in the ultimate street dancing contest, an experience that will alter the course of all their lives. Finally, in 'Step Up 4 - Miami Heat' (2012), Kathryn McCormick stars as Emily, a girl from a wealthy family who arrives in Miami hoping to become a professional dancer, and soon falls for poor boy Sean (Ryan Guzman), leader of flash mob street dance crew MOB. When Emily's father, a major property developer, threatens to build on the historic neighbourhood that is the MOB's home, Emily asks Sean and his crew to use their performance mobs to protest against the planned development... Finally, 'Step Up 5 - All In' (2014) follows multiple crews from the previous four films as they battle it out in Las Vegas for the chance of securing their own show in the entertainment capital of the world.
Low-budget teen sex comedy produced by Todd Phillips. Shot entirely on hand-held cameras in the style of a home movie, the film follows a group of teenagers who decide to throw a house party in an attempt to raise their profile and make a name for themselves. But as the night progresses, word of the party spreads like wildfire and things are soon spinning wildly out of control.
Teen street-dancing sequel from Disney, also released in 3D. A group of young underground street dancers in New York - including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson) - team up with NYU students Moose (Adam Sevani) and Camille (Alyson Stoner) to take on the world's best hip-hop dancers in the ultimate street-dancing contest, an experience that will alter the course of all their lives.
