The purpose of biblical theology is to make known, GOD's
sovereignty over all things. The specified purpose of the book of
Genesis is to take us back beyond the pages of recorded history,
and reveal to us, the very origins of the universe, and the human
race itself. The thrust of the message of this book is to help us
to understand, who we are, where we came from, and how that search
for those answers must begin and end with GOD.
During the second invasion of Jerusalem(597 B.C.), Nebuchadnezzar
deported an even larger group of Judah's upper and middle class
citizens to Babylon, and among this group was a young twenty-six
year old priest in training named, Ezekiel. This group of Jewish
captives was placed in the region of Tel Aviv, along a wide canal
that links two branches of the Euphrates known as the Kebar River.
There, they were treated more as colonists than slaves and enjoyed
many privileges. It was there on the banks of the Kebar River,
that, in 593 B.C., a now thirty old Ezekiel received his calling
from GOD (Ezekiel 1 & 2). Thirty years old is the minimum age
that priests are actually allowed to begin serving in the temple
(Numbers 4:1-3). And so, as the LORD would have it, it was from
that place, that Ezekiel first served the LORD by delivering his
first prophetic message to his fellow captives in Babylon.
Paul's letter to the Romans is the most formal and systematic of
his New Testament epistles. In fact, it has been called, and, is
considered to be, the theological cornerstone of the New Testament.
The main theme of this letter is that "righteousness" is a free
gift from GOD, and is only receivable by "faith". Paul wrote this
letter to introduce himself to the Church at Rome, and to give them
a summary of Christian teaching. These commentaries by Alexander
are written to give the reader a clearer understanding of GOD'S
message through the Apostle Paul's teachings.
This book is designed to promote CHRIST and to promote the spread
of Christianity to the far corners of the earth
EDITORIAL REVIEW: John's Gospel was most likely written sometime
between A.D. 85 and 95. His depiction of JESUS is the most
theological of the four gospels. He presents to us, a JESUS WHO
existed with GOD, and, as GOD, even before the creation of the
universe. John's unique style confront's us with an overwhelming
necessity to believe on our LORD and SAVIOR. He shows JESUS as the
focus of a spiritual struggle between the forces of light and
darkness, love and hate, and most of all, life and death. The four
Gospels are our primary source of information about JESUS. And
while they do not provide us with a biography of HIS life, they do
present us with a clear picture of HIS person, and HIS works. It is
my hope that these commentaries will help develop a better
understanding of this gospel account, and that the reader will be
able to make a decision to give their life to CHRIST, and if they
already have, hopefully it will help them grow in their Christian
walk, so, they too, can win others to CHRIST.
A bible study guide through the book of Mark
This book is the final in a trilogy of bible study devotionals
released by Alexander over a 12-month period. It contains 21
lessons that have been pulled from the pages of Paul's Letter to
the Romans. The lessons in this book, as well as in Alexander's
previous two books (Sunday school lessons from the book of the Acts
of the Apostles and Sunday school lessons from the Gospel according
to John Mark) are simple and straightforward, and, are to be used
to help introduce people to CHRIST, and to the Christian ideaology
that comes from the mind of GOD. The book of Romans takes us
through a deeper study of JESUS' actions, during HIS 3-year earthly
ministry, and shows us how the work of the Apostle Paul and other
early Church workers, were able to clearly show the world the
difference between Judaism and the, then new, Gospel of CHRIST.
They presented Chritianity as the universal religion for all
mankind, and showed that it was not just a tiny sect of Judaism for
the benefit of the Jews.
This Bible Study guide and Devotional contains 21 lessons, that
have been pulled from the pages of the Book of Acts. They are
designed to promote spiritual growth, and right living to those who
choose to read and incorporate these lessons into their everyday
lives. These lessons are simple and straightforward, and, are most
helpful in understanding church behavior and structure, and in
developing good Christian living practices, among the brothers and
sisters in the body of CHRIST.These lessons will also help the
reader to develop knowledge, fear and reverence for the ONLY WISE
GOD, WHO is our SAVIOR, through JESUS CHRIST.
