Feeling sad because no one chooses it as a Christmas tree, a bedraggled forest pine discovers the importance of being appreciated all year long.
This charming tale of an overgrown pine always being passed by for
Christmas, and what his woodland friends do to help him, is sure to
become a Christmas classic. With delightful illustrations by
wildlife artist Michael Monroe (Buzzy the bumblebee, M is for
Mitten) and enchanting text from Colleen Monroe, the birds, deer
and squirrel of this story help make their special friend's wish
come true.
Spanish Arabism was a touchstone of the major intellectual and
political issues facing Spain as it emerged from its imperial past
into its current form as a modern nation-state. James T. Monroe's
survey of four centuries of Spanish scholarship on the cultural
history of al-Andalus (Muslim Spain) establishes Spanish scholars
on the forefront of European scholars confronting the Orientalism
and colonialism at the heart of their national projects. This
reissue of James T. Monroe's classic study of Spanish Arabism
features a new foreword by Michelle M. Hamilton and David A. Wacks
that offers an overview of its impact and of how the investigation
of Spanish Arabism has blossomed since the publication of Monroe's
pathbreaking study.

With this release, Hanoi Rocks' lead vocalist has put out an
entertaining album. The disc is a good blend of punk edginess and
'80s metal sounds. It gets bluesy at times, but the whole disc is
just plain fun. ~ Gary Hill
