Dr.Muhammad Imran Saleem and co-authors have done a great work
putting together the essential material for the fellowship trainees
in the discipline of ophthalmology in " LIMBAL AUTOGRAFT VERSUS
MITOMYCIN-C FOR OPHTHALMIC PTERYGIUM." The Whole book is organized
by multistage energetics in a very lucid manner and each element is
discussed extremely well.It is also a very kind and user friendly
type of book. I highly recommend this book not only for the
postgraduate residents in ophthalmology but also for the working
ophthalmologists.
The present study was conducted to determine the comparative
resistance of ten genotypes of conventional and transgenic cotton
was studied under field conditions. The results revealed that
infestation of spotted bollworm was high on squares, flowers and
bolls of FH-207. The infestation of pink bollworm was high on
CIM-2015 followed by PKR-101, CIM-554, FH-207 and CRSM-07.The
infestation on squares and flowers of CIM-554 was significantly
high followed by PKR-101, CRSM-07, CIM-2015 and FH-207. Overall
infestation of bollworm complex was found to be high in CIM-554,
CIM-2015 and FH-207 as compared to other transgenic and
conventional cott0n genotypes. However, BT-05, SITARA-08 and
FH-133/14 emerged as comparatively resistant varieties.
The book in hand provides the reader with the basics of speech as
well as in-depth technicalities of accurate recognition by use of
two different artificial intelligence techniques. The literature
review presented in a number of chapters, refines user's concepts
about the phonetics and mel frequency ceptstral cofficients that
characterize speech as well as voice. These coefficients are then
operated upon in MATLAB for analysis and classification to one of
the predefined classes of a trained system. After reading this book
thoroughly the user will be able to conclude that the efficiency of
recognition is enhanced when two artificial intelligence or
classification techniques, called Linear Discriminant Analysis and
Support vector machines, concatenate. This book also gives brief
knowledge about the Mercer Kernel, k-nearest neighbor and many
other technical concepts.
Risk management is an essential part of the decision-making
process. To advance this decision making, the study investigates
the explicit and implicit inferences of the banking sector in
response to acknowledged risk aspects (credit risk, liquidity risk
& operational risk) faced within the dynamic business
environment in which the bank operates. Responsive behaviour of
risk mangers is identified for conventional and Islamic banks. In
addition, the study compare and contrast their responsive behaviour
between two set of banks (Conventional and Islamic). It is
imperative and constructive to know about the factors on which
future decision making can be based. On the practical aspect, this
study could help management of the banks' and policy makers to
spotlight on the main banking activities that possibly will enhance
the bank position and financial presentation.
In dynamic competitive business environment the banks advance their
intermediary role to facilitate the investors and the borrowers
with an aim to sufficiently provide the justifiable needs of its
society, stakeholder, and utmost for their survival. To meet this
primary objective, banks utilize their resources effectively and
enhance their operating efficiency to maximize their profits. There
are many factors that exhibit drastic effects on the profitability
of banks. This includes controllable (Bank specific and Industry
specific) and uncontrollable (macro-economic) factors. This study
will highlight the priorities of the significance of controllable
and uncontrollable determinants of profitability. This study
endeavors to construct numerous contributions so as to extend more
inclusive and rigorous studies on the profitability of the banking
sector.
