Despite his busy career, Jones' newest book is about slowing down. Points of Departure is a collection of Polaroid photographs documenting memorials on the sides of highways, interstates, main-streets and back roads. This volume, handsomely produced by the august Jargon Society, offers a gently haunting portrait of these often ephemeral memorials, drawing out their folk-art qualities.
