Ces dernieres annees ont vu se developper en Afrique des conflits asymetriques qui ont pour consequence principale le retard de la croissance.L'etat de sous-developpement dans lequel la Republique Democratique du Congo est plongee est la preuve que les conflits freinent la realisation des projets et programmes de developpement.Les conflits armes prolonges ne tuent pas uniquement les etres humains: ils detruisent aussi les infrastructures d'un pays, detournent les ressources et perturbent la vie economique.Aujourd'hui, l'idee de prevention s'impose comme une necessite notamment en RDC.Et le PNUD a acquis la conviction et la preuve qu'il vaut mieux prevenir les conflits que d'essayer d'y mettre fin, ou d'en attenuer les manifestations.Son intervention dans la prevention des conflits dans ce pays se justifie par son mandat et parait conforme a la morale internationale.Il est de ce fait important de consolider son action ainsi que celle des autorites congolaises pour une meilleure prevention des conflits.Cette etude demontre donc que la paix et de la securite en RDC sont indissociables du developpement economique, du bien-etre social et d'un gouvernement serieux et credible."
