Kelley and Phil Willis's children, Alan and Ashley take center
stage in this, the fifth and final novel in the Justice series.
Alan puts on his combat boots and joins the Syracuse Police
Department as head of its Swat team. His first duty is go to the
local high school and negotiate the release of the principal and
his mother who are being held hostage. Together with his wife and
son, he follows Kelley and Phil as they move to the Tampa Bay area
where the governor asks Alan to set up swat teams throughout the
state. While training a team in Tallahassee he leads his men as
they save young children stuck on top of a Ferris wheel. Later,
along with his sister and brother-in-law, he goes searching for a
serial killer who has been raping and murdering prostitutes.
Ashley, following her father's footsteps as a lawyer, finds herself
up against none other than her father in a sensational lawsuit
against a prominent soccer player. Eventually, she also moves to
the Sunshine State where she joins a Dolphin Springs law firm.
There, she meets and marries, Steve Clarke, one of Alan's
co-workers on the police force. The Willis family is all together
on a cruise, where they unite to apprehend the assailant of the
ship's captain. In her final case, Ashley's parents join forces
with her as she defends a neurotic young man who is accused of
murdering his parents. Ashley's daughter is abducted. Once again,
the family unites and works their way through another crisis.
It's now attorney Phil Willis's turn to take center stage in this
action packed novel. A top Syracuse, New York, attorney, he will
need the assistance of his wife, Kelley Ryan Willis, as four major
cases fall into his schedule. The story opens when Phil finds his
next door neighbor stabbed and bleeding in his driveway. Events
take many a twist as Phil and Kelley try to discover who did this
reprehensible deed. When the pregnant Kelley is injured in their
bathroom, Phil is nowhere to be found. The next day, he races to
the hospital to be at her side. There he meets the hospital
administrator who contacts him to defend his twin brother, a
priest, who has been accused of molesting a young boy in church.
When even the media seems positive about his guilt, Phil and Kelley
turn the tables and prove his innocence. Doing tax work for a
five-star restaurant owner, they are asked by him to fly to Dolphin
Springs, Florida, Kelley's home many years previous. There, they
confront his brother-in-law who is in dire financial straits and
has sought guidance from the local Greek priest in the Cathedral.
It takes Phil's legal genius to settle the conflicts. Phil's next
case is when a lawyer friend seeks his assistance in a civil case
against a Gypsy couple accused of bilking elderly people out of
their savings. In the middle of the trial, Kelley is abducted and
held for a two million dollar ransom. Who did this terrible deed
and can Phil raise this immense sum of money in time to save his
wife?
The third in the "Justice" series. Kelley Ryan Willis and the love
of her life, Phil, are on their honeymoon, confident that their
investigative days are over-well, not really. While traveling
across the ocean to England, on the Queen Mary II, Kelley discovers
a murder. Of course, with their great sleuthing skills, they help
solve the crime. Then on to London, where they meet the
Commissioner of Scotland Yard, Andrew Pope. It seems that his
sister, Victoria, has been bilked out of her savings by a con man.
With the help of her former partner, James Barrett Fleming II, and
Phil, Kelley apprehends the culprit. Next, the honeymooners are off
to Dublin to visit Kelley's Nanna, whom she has never met. Kelley
finds new adventures with Nanna Kate, who is no ordinary
grandmother. Finally, to end their honeymoon in real style, Phil
whisks Kelley off to Sicily. They are there less than a day, before
they see a young pregnant woman thrown from a moving car. They
travel to the countryside to inform her family of the accident,
only to discover that her father, Marco Rossi, is the wealthy owner
of an immense vineyard and has his own methods of dealing out
Sicilian Justice Once again, Kelley and Phil put on their shoulder
holsters and grab their weapons as they encounter a killer.
Adventures and thrills abound in this novel, as our young
honeymooners collect postcards of their many adventures.
The second in the "Justice" series. Just when Kelley Ryan thinks
her life is calm once again, she is recruited by Florida Governor
Paul Mathison to become a secret agent in a special services
division he created for the state. She and her new partner, James
Barrett Fleming II, an exchange agent from Scotland Yard, are sent
to locate a bomb on a flight from Miami to London. Later, her new
boss, CJ, has her investigating a counterfeiting ring that might be
originating from Miami University. As if that case wasn't
difficult, enough, her next assignment is to investigate the
mysterious disappearance of Scott Paulsen's second wife. Was she
murdered by him, as the authorities suspect the first wife might
have been? Or did the second wife leave with a lover? After this
adventure, Kelley has had enough excitement and has settled down to
a quiet life. But she is recruited again to work with the special
agency. This time, she goes undercover as a housekeeper at the
Heritage Hotel to provide security for Harry Wilson and the
millions of dollars in jewels he has brought in for Miami's Fashion
Show Week. While filling in for Harry's model and walking the
runway dressed as a bride, her old partner, Phil Willis, suddenly
appears. They are kidnapped and Harry's jewels are stolen. The
skills that Kelley and Phil learned from their Sarasota circus
friends, in the previous novel, come in handy as they escape from
the kidnappers and finally apprehend them. Be prepared to try to
keep up with the many adventures of Kelley Ryan. And what about the
relationship between Kelley and her old partner, Phil?
