"The Tilio Tree" is an epic historical fiction novel occurring
during the decline of the Roman Empire between the Emperors,
Diocletian and Constantine. This period was one of Imperial chaos
and severe persecution of Christians by the Roman Emperors.
However, this story is primarily about Love - - in many of its
varied ramifications, including heterosexual, homosexual, and
bisexual relationships -- as experienced by, and expressed by the
intertwining lives of four young Greeks from the Aegean Islands and
one son of a Roman Magistrate. The young people's lives are guided
by love, hate, revenge, and forgiveness. The protagonist, Michael
Dionysus, ' life is unexpectedly influenced by the intervention of
a strange Chinese mystic, Ming Cha, who greatly influences and
guides Michael's actions as he seeks revenge against Rome and its
emperors for the atrocities that Rome has inflicted upon his family
and friends throughout his life. At last, at the Battle of
Chrysopolis, Michael gets a chance to fulfill his quest for revenge
against the Roman Empire. The author is professionally a doctor of
medicine. He has two other philosophical books previously
published: "From Creation to Eternity" and "A Grand View of
Existence." Both books bridge science and religion.
PERHAPS ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFCANT BOOKS EVER WRITTEN
In this book the author presents a composite picture of our
existence, drawing upon the concepts of some of our greatest
scientific and religious thinkers of all time. He discusses some
commonly held beliefs, in both science and religion that may be
erroneous, and offers other options or possibilities applying to
them.
This book discusses the following:
- Our matter universe and all that it contains are only perceptions
formed within our brain/mind of what is really "out there."
- The "Creative Source" of our entire universe, known to physicists
as the "Unified Field" produces all sub-atomic particles and their
forces that construct and maintain our entire matter universe. This
"pre-energy" field of proxy waves" is believed by physicists to be
conscious, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient, and lies beyond
space and time-all characteristics of what we call, "God." Science
not only relates to religion; they compliment each other.
- Every event occurs simultaneously in two opposite states.
- All negative thoughts and actions within the human race -- such
as prejudice, hate, anger, envy, greed, and wars are all created by
the "Ego" of every human mind. However, we possess the power to
overcome the Ego's directives by absolutely refusing to INITIATE
and aggressive or harmful acts against another human being or their
possessions. If the majority of humankind would follow this simple
directive, it would result in continuing world peace and evolve
humankind to a much higher level of existence.
- Everything material that exists is made from particles that were
produced at the Big Bang" of creation, which then combines as
"stardust" and continued constantly evolving into different forms
throughout all time. Therefore, all living things are eternal extra
terrestrials.
- There are many current cosmic dilemmas that need to be
resolved.
- The "spirit" will survive after mortal death, but its existence
will probably be quite different from that envisioned by most world
religions.
"Sometimes I have a difficult time accepting my good fortune to be
living at this particular time -- nothing has made me feel more
that way than reading Dr. Jerome's fascinating, realistic, and
informative book. It is a "treasure house" of wonderful
information, useful knowledge, and excellent writing.
This book essentially takes the basic religious truths that have
been handed down to us over hundreds of years from our major world
religions and shows how current findings in subatomic particle
physics, quantum theory, and laser technology gives us a way of
seeing how they may well be agreeing on the same basic truths that
construct and maintain our matter and spiritual existence.
Larry Dossey, M.D., President of Isthmus Institute and author of
"Space, Time, and Medicine" and "Beyond Illness," has written an
excellent introduction and endorses Dr. Jerome's work. I believe
that any creditable scientist would do the same and certainly every
New Thought student should be enthusiastic about the work. This
book is not 'another scientific text.' It is that, of course, but
is so much more and such 'fun' reading. Take a look at this book
which is entertaining, informative, and above all else, a book
which has great application to daily living." -- Jack H. Holland,
PhD., D.D. -- Theologian, Reviewer of scientific and theological
literature for "The New Thought Quarterly," and Director of The
Institute for Human Growth and Awareness.
"Dr. Jerome's book just might be one of the most important books of
this era. It explains the holographic nature of God's consciousness
in terms that are understandable." -- Tommy Sellers, communications
expert in computer science and laser research.
"Dr. Jerome personifies a new breed of human now emerging. He is a
scientist who realizes that his science represents only part of the
path to understand his existence and his reality. It is an
essential part, but incomplete in itself. To be whole, to be
balanced in life, he knows it is necessary to discover the path's
other essential part.
As the parts of the path become visible before him, Dr. Jerome
integrates them for us. As he says in his preface:
If science is right, and if religion is also
right, then they must allude to the same
basic truths. The quest to uncover this
'sameness' is the goal of this book
This is a sensitive and beautiful book written by an admirable man.
It deserves to be read, then pondered, then reread, and finally,
referred to often." -- John C. Carls, PhD. in particle physics and
author of "What It Means To Be Human."
