Well-organized text designed to complement graduate-level physics texts in classical mechanics, electricity, magnetism and quantum mechanics. Topics include theory of vector spaces, analytic function theory, Green's function method of solving differential and partial differential equations, theory of groups, more. Many problems, suggestions for further reading.
Some subjects are terribly complicated like Gravity, Dark Matter,
Wormholes and the whole idea of Quantum Physics. Recently, though,
these difficult subjects have taken a back seat to the search for
the historical Jesus, especially, after Dan Brown's book, The Da
Vinci Code. Yet, it should be pointed out that the search to
identify Jesus of Nazareth is not as difficult as liberals have led
to believe. One problem is that liberals refuse to debate in the
traditional manner of denying or affirming a proposition that can
be proven true or false based on the evidence. Liberals insist on
presenting hypotheses dressed in a postmodern worldview that allows
subjective imagination to be valued as highly as historical facts.
They present opinions without labeling them as such, responding
that, "My views are as authoritative as yours " They do this while
discounting and distorting concrete historical facts, without
which, conservative scholars are left shadow-boxing avoidance and
silence. ROBERT FULLER is an ordained minister having received his
BA degree in the Biblical Field from Abilene Christian University
and a M. Ed from the University of North Texas. Mr. Fuller's goal
in this book is to reduce the highly technical material surrounding
the Jesus-debates into a more easily understood vocabulary that
avid readers without degrees can comprehend. This subject is
extremely interesting and important to the laity and those who have
no idea about what is going on in this cultural conflict. I believe
this book accomplishes its goal by unveiling the "slight-of-hand"
illusions of scholars who present personal opinions in the guise of
scholarship. Read this book and find out that some liberal scholars
have stacked their bunk higher that a two-story building
In his books Somebodies and Nobodies and All Rise, Robert Fuller
exposed rankism--abuse of the power inherent in rank to exploit or
humiliate someone of lower rank. In Dignity for All, Fuller and
Pamela Gerloff offer a concise, action-oriented guide to the
concrete steps we can take to eradicate it. They focus on us as
individuals--how we can recognize rankism in our own experiences,
even in ourselves, and how, on a day-to-day basis, we can help
others to see its insidious influence and work with them to create
a better world. Fuller and Gerloff offer advice on the best ways to
forcefully but compassionately bring rankist behavior to light.
They include examples of rankism in action as well as the often
surprisingly simple things people have done to counteract it.
Perhaps most importantly, they show how we can prevent rankism from
taking root in the first place. Dignity for All will help you map
out your own personal strategy for creating a society in which
every human being feels truly valued and respected.
Alcoholism. Drug Abuse. These are only two addictions that plague
alcoholics and drug addicts on a regular basis that destroy their
lives, not to mention lack of hygiene, nutrition, medical attention
and sleep deprivation. But what about the unfortunate people who
are thrust into relationships with the drug addict and alcoholic?
In Robert W. Fuller's new and insightful book, The 'Baby King' Must
Die, he provides addicts, counselors, and laypeople deeper insight
into the already complicated lives of addicts: these selfish brains
that produce the erratic behaviors that cannot be turned off with
demands, threats, or pleadings. Moms, dads, friends, relatives and
addicts themselves will laugh, cry, and be angry when identifying
with the everyday life-and-death struggles in which addicts
recklessly and ruthlessly involve themselves and significant
others. Addicts certainly may not like what they read here, but
moms and dads, significant others, police officers, attorneys,
judges, and chemical dependence counselors know that what is said
here is the gut-wrenching truth about addicts and addiction-like it
or not Robert W. Fuller was born in an era when the town drunk was
simply laughed at as a comic spectacle. An era when the police
seldom arrested the drunk driver and dropped the charges if they
were; a time similar to Mayberry, Andy, Barney and the good old
boys society. Times, laws, and statistics have changed, but not the
alcoholic and addict. Robert (Bob) Fuller started drinking
alcoholically at age 12, became an ordained minister at age 21, a
full-blown alcoholic at age 34, and a Chemical Dependency Counselor
from age 45 to the present. His book, The Baby King Must Die often
reflects his own life as seen in the strange behaviors of addicts
depicted here in sometimes explicit "scientific street talk." Bob
Fuller received a B.A. degree from Abilene Christian University, a
M.Ed. from North Texas University and is a LCDC.
