Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is revolutionizing the way people communicate - both in the corporate world and in personal life. The enormous success of VoIP has led to its adoption in a wide range of networking technologies. Each network technology has its unique features and poses distinct challenges to the performance of VoIP. VoIP: Wireless, P2P and New Enterprise Voice over IP describes the issues arising in the deployment of VoIP in an emerging heterogeneous network environment. Along with a brief overview of the concepts, protocols, algorithms, and equipment involved in realizing VoIP, this book focuses on two areas; quality and performance issues in deploying VoIP, this book focuses on two areas: quality and performance issues in deploying VoIP over various network settings, and the new mechanisms and protocols in these emerging networks to assist the deployment of VoIP. This book is an invaluable resource for professional network engineers, designers, managers, researchers, decision makers and project managers overseeing VoIP implementations. Market analysts, consultants, and those studying advanced undergraduate and graduate courses on data, voice and multimedia communications will also find this book insightful. VoIP; Wireless, P2P and New Enterprise Voice over IP: Discusses the basics of VoIP, VoIP codecs and VoIP protocols including SIP and H.323. Details new technologies such as P2P technology, VoWiFi, WiMax, and 3G networks. Explains the QoS issues arising from deploying VoIP using the new technologies. Solves the performance issues that emerge when VoIP is deployed over different network technologies.

The present study was carried out to reveal the effect of yeast cell wall preparation as an immunomodulator of the innate immune response. To evaluate its effect on chicken, yeast cell wall preparation (NutrifermTM) was administrated orally to 1-week-old broilers @ 0.4gm and 0.8gm per kg feed for 15 days and then switched back to control diet for 20 days. Similar number of birds was kept separately as control with normal feeding regime. Non-specific immunity was assessed in randomly selected treated and control birds at the end of the experimental feeding period ('0' day) by performing neutrophil, monocyte and lymphocyte functional assay in vitro. In both dose group super oxide anion production by neutrophil was increased gradually up to '10' day post treatment (DPT) and then decreased to '20' DPT. The increase was significant (P>0.5) compared to control birds. In vitro nitrite production by monocyte was found to be high in treated birds than control. In 0.4gm treatment group in vitro non-specific lymphocyte proliferation and IL-2 production was first increased and then decreased abruptly.
The present book has been constructed to provide an overview of pattern of immune response of susceptible broiler chicks after Salmonella Gallinarum infection. The effect of experimentally induced Salmonella Gallinarum infection on total protein, albumen, globulin concentrations in serum and serum albumen-globulin ratio, antibody titer by indirect hemagglutination technique and IgG concentration by SRID techniques has also been highlighted. There is increase in concentrations of serum proteins and IgG levels and rise in antibody titer. Chickens are the natural hosts of Salmonella Gallinarum, the causative organism of fowl typhoid. Its host perimeter is limited to galiforme birds.
