The past 100 years of accelerator-based research have led the field from first insights into the structure of atoms to the development and confirmation of the Standard Model of physics. Accelerators have been a key tool in developing our understanding of the elementary particles and the forces that govern their interactions. This book describes the past 100 years of accelerator development with a special focus on the technological advancements in the field, the connection of the various accelerator projects to key developments and discoveries in the Standard Model, how accelerator technologies open the door to other applications in medicine and industry, and finally presents an outlook of future accelerator projects for the coming decades.

Do you want to know the plan of God? If you are a believer in Jesus Christ you should want to know. Understand this, in the construction of anything worthwhile, nothing is built without plans and specifications (Spec's). There are developers, architects, engineers and contractors that all play a part in the design and construction of roads, bridges, buildings and communities. Do you think that man thought of "plans (working drawings) and Spec's (detailed requirements)" on his own? When God told Moses to build the tabernacle he (God) stated "And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle (drawings), and the pattern of all the instruments thereof (Spec's), even so shall ye make it." (Exodus 25:8 & 9) God gave Moses a heavenly plan to follow in the construction of the tabernacle and he even filled men with wisdom, understanding, knowledge and in all manner of workmanship "that they may make all that I have commanded thee" (Ref. Exodus 31:1-6) Consider farmers; they don't just throw seed in the earth without planning. The earth needs to be tilled and the soil must be suitable for certain types of seed. How does the farmer know what to do and how to do it? "For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him."(Ref. Isaiah 28:26) How can seed produce trees which produce fruit? It is because the pattern is in the seed. The earth and everything in it does not function haphazardly; there is a design to everything, even our very bodies: "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect(not formed); and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."(Psalms 139:16) The invisible things of God are to be clearly seen through his creation. (Ref. Romans 1:20) The intent is that what is of God will ultimately resemble him and if his plan is perfect in the design; the result of his plan must be perfect in the construction of that design. That is why he told Moses to make all things according to the pattern shown to thee in the mount. The pattern and the construction of that pattern must become one. In this book you will see how God will reconcile both; "for we are laborers together with God: ye are God's husbandry ye are God's building." (Ref. 1 Corinthians 3:9)

Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid - How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback): Steven Myers Lost Technologies of the Great Pyramid - How the Great Pyramid was built! (Paperback)
Steven Myers
R660 Discovery Miles 6 600 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

Transcending the fables and misinformation of modern Egyptology, this book provides a detailed description of how the Great Pyramid was really built New discoveries of lost technologies used to build this massive wonder are the focus of this book Independent researcher, lecturer and author, Steven Myers explains what really happened as the Great Pyramid was built. He describes the fascinating and unique building process from the initial surveying, all the way to the placement of the capstone The Original Builders were geniuses who possessed advanced understanding which they used to develop sophisticated technology. Using these advanced technologies they were able to create the wonder we call the Great Pyramid. Extensively illustrated, this book describes how the massive stones were moved from the quarries and set in place with extreme precision. Using the lost technologies described in this book, the Great Pyramid was assembled effortlessly without the unworkable notion of a gigantic ramp. This book also examines modern Egyptology's unprovable explanations of how the Great Pyramid was built and offers a fresh and exciting alternative Steven Myers feels that the Great Pyramid is not just an irrelevant ancient structure. He contends that the Great Pyramid was built using advanced technologies which need to be redeveloped in our modern age. The most important aspect of this book is the contention that these ancient, but highly advanced technologies, can vastly improve our modern but very troubled world

The Great Pyramid Prosperity Machine - Why the Great Pyramid was Built! (Paperback): Steven Myers The Great Pyramid Prosperity Machine - Why the Great Pyramid was Built! (Paperback)
Steven Myers
R658 Discovery Miles 6 580 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The Great Pyramid Prosperity Machine reveals the reason why the Great Pyramid was built Discarding the unworkable explanations offered by Egyptology, Steven Myers provides a detailed and compelling explanation of the original purpose of this ancient highly technical wonder. The Great Pyramid was not a tomb built using a ramp but this ancient wonder was built using a sophisticated procedure and was created to be a prosperity machine. The Great Pyramid Prosperity Machine was a functioning device which was infrastructure for the civilization which built it. This infrastructure transformed the desert into a garden. This infrastructure transformed subsistence living into leisure. It transformed scarcity into abundance and poverty into wealth for those who possessed the wisdom and courage to build the Great Pyramid Prosperity was why the Great Pyramid was built But more than just describing the ancient high technology of the Great Pyramid, Steven Myers advocates that the Great Pyramid can help people now in our modern but troubled world. He contends that the technology used in the infrastructure we call the Great Pyramid must be redeveloped in our modern Age to improve our lives, create a cleaner environment, break our addition to oil and usher in a new era of unsurpassed prosperity. All this is possible if our hurting civilization embraces the high technology of the Great Pyramid Prosperity Machine.

Ice Road to Hell, Book II - Fast in the Fiery Dream (Paperback): Steven Myers Ice Road to Hell, Book II - Fast in the Fiery Dream (Paperback)
Steven Myers
R564 Discovery Miles 5 640 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

BOOK II. After a harrowing transit north from Canada, surviving ships of Allied Lend-Lease convoy PQ20 limp into Kola Bay, just north of grim Murmansk. There - poorly protected by scarce Coastal Artillery or Soviet Navy ships not detailed to other business against Nazi forces just kilometers away in occupied Norway - the merchant ships wait for Russian pilots to bring them into port. Even if the Germans do not attack this deepening December day, PQ20's vessels face the new danger of being moored in a port for unlading, incapable of dispersing. Every ship's master and crew want to "deliver the goods," and leave this target whose bull's eye they so nicely augment. It is a wishful thought that cannot be, for the Soviet hosts are hampered by equipment problems, continual threat of enemy air attacks - and the crushing weight of Arctic winter. However, the "down-time" is not wasted: cargo handling requires paperwork and liaison with port authorities. It is a rare commonality between Capitalist nd Socialist "partners," defeating he fascist enemy being another. Meanwhile, ships with Armed Guard detachments embarked brave the harsh weather as they maintain their AAA weapons and small arms, and help their civilian seamen de-ice just about everything outside the ships' skins. Amid the ongoing bad dream of helpless vulnerability, sparks of hope and humanity persist: Hitler cannot destroy Russian nationalism - and, after a long, horrible night of snow and suffering, the sailor's home may yet be found at a rainbow's end....

Steven Myers
R513 Discovery Miles 5 130 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

A lone Alllied Lend-Lease convoy slogs its way toward Murmansk, USSR. It faces more than Nazi foes: season, weather, the North Atlantic, itself, seemingly conspire to assault, wound, and then to destroy it -oignominiously. Men of steel and luck will be tested on this hard journey. Some of them will die. Others will be spared, and a few will be imprisoned; but all will be changed... To seamen who still sometimes dream about the grim hammer and anvil of war, this tale is related.
