The Knowledge and Abilities Catalog for Nuclear Power Plant
Operators: Advanced Boiling Water Reactors (NUREG-2104, Revision 0)
provides the basis for the development of content-valid licensing
examinations for reactor operators (ROs) and senior reactor
operators (SROs). The examinations developed using the ABWR Catalog
along with the Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power
Reactors (NUREG-1021) will sample the topics listed under Title 10,
Code of Federal Regulations, Part 55 (10 CFR 55).
On March 4, 2009, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted to
the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) a request to
reactivate its application for a license to operate a second
light-water nuclear reactor at the Watts Bar Nuclear (WBN) Plant in
Rhea County, Tennessee. The NRC published a notice of receipt of
the application and the opportunity for hearing in the Federal
Register on May 1, 2009 (74 FR 20350). The proposed action is NRC
issuance of a 40-year facility operating license for WBN Unit 2.
WBN Unit 2, a pressurized-water reactor, could produce up to 3,425
megawatts thermal. The reactor-generated heat would be used to
produce steam to drive steam turbines, providing 1,160 megawatts
electric of net electrical power capacity to the region.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC's) Information
Technology/Information Management (IT/IM) Strategic Plan, Fiscal
Years 2012-2016, was prepared under the requirements of the
Paperwork Reduction Act and the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. This
document serves as the NRC's strategic information resources
management plan in accordance with Section 3506(b)(2) of the
Paperwork Reduction Act.

use of byproduct, source, and special nuclear materials to ensure
adequate protection of public health and safety, promote the common
defense and security, and protect the environment.
This document is a supplemental safety evaluation report (SSER) for
the license renewal application for Indian Point Nuclear Generating
Unit Nos. 2 and 3 (IP2 and IP3) as filed by Entergy Nuclear
Operations, Inc.
