Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are

Sir William Cecil Dampier-Whetham (1867 1952) was a British
scientist and agriculturalist. He was knighted in 1931 for services
to agriculture. In this book, which was first published in 1923 as
the third edition of a 1905 original, Dampier-Whetham provides an
account of the principles of experimental electricity based on the
content of a series of lectures given to students at Trinity
