About the Author: Through his love of nature, Chuck observed and saw the beauty of nature and the animals all around us as he drove his bus each day early in the mornings or at sunset. These are the times he thought, the woods and the earth comes alive. This suggested to him that God, was really an early riser. Bill, a cockatiel, was the first bird that Chuck ever had and came to him in an unusual way which started him on his many adventures. He observed that birds create close family ties and that they can show many emotions on their faces, (anger or happiness), even though they have no lips, only hard beaks. Most of us never see birds up close because they are usually in flight or far away. Gonzo is on the cover and is his second bird. He was an abused bird that became a great friend after some exciting go arounds, and a lot of help from his wife and daughter. You will read more about him later. Chuck found the key of what it takes to love a pet or they to love us. You will be touched by the emotional experiences of these stories as well as, some of his inspiring thoughts of what part fate plays in our lives. So come along and enjoy the read.

Various ebook formats are available at http: //www.smashwords.com/ In 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Pickles the Parrot does indeed dominate life. Owning parrots can be challenging and frustrating but Georgi Abbott has a way of finding humour in her parrot's behaviour and giving us pause to think differently about our own feathered pets. This is her fourth book about Pickles and just like the others, you are guaranteed to laugh out loud at this parrot's antics and personality. Excerpt ... Crazy Lady I decided to take Pickles on a little outing so I packed him up in his back-pack and we drove up town to take a short walk around the lake with Neeka Dog. We had a nice little walk and then we sat on a bench over-looking the water and there was not a single soul around for Pickles to embarrass me in front of. He was quite content to caw at the ducks and show off his other wild bird repertoire. After walking back to the car, we drove across the street to the outdoor mall so I could pick up the mail at the post office. I put Pickles on my back again for the short walk and on the way back, he started with the wolf whistles and his doing, doing, doing sounds just as we were approaching some people who were sitting on a bench in the common area. Instead of stopping to explain, as I usually do when people can't see Pickles because I'm facing them with him hidden in back, I decided to keep walking, as I knew that in a moment I would be past them and the back-pack would be self explanatory. When I arrived at the car a minute later, I removed the backpack to place it in the car and that's when I noticed that Pickles had pulled up all the paper from the bottom of the cage and then climbed down to the bottom, effectively hiding himself beneath and behind the paper. That means nothing was explained to those people and instead, I just looked like some weirdo walking through the mall, whistling and doinging with a backpack full of old newspaper. Soon, if Pickles has his way, the town will declare me crazy and unfit to own a bird. Follow us on facebook: https: //www.facebook.com/georgiabbotts.picklestheparrot

Pink Pearl lived alone, without a feathered flock in her own little "bird room" confined inside a cage to protect her from the family feline who openly and peacefully shared their life with the humans. Scared and alone while the family drifting apart with their focuses turning to higher education and a better way to provide for their financial struggles to compete with the changing world, Pearly Bird began to self-destruct one feather at a time at the tender age of four. Screaming for freedom and for a chance to prove she that wasn't the "wild animal" she was accused of being only caused her to being imprisoned for eleven more years behind the cold, deaf bars of her cage. Then one day a caring angel answered her calls to finally be understood and given a chance to thrive amongst the strict, complicated, human environment. Now at home without predators and by the hands of a loving couple, Pearl begins to thrive and develop becoming once again the exotic family member from a small island devastated by self-destruction and neglect.

For weeks he and the staff at Sarvey Wildlife Care Center in Puget Sound, Washington, tended to the injured bird. Miraculously, she recovered, and Jeff, a center volunteer, became her devoted caretaker. Though Freedom would never fly, she had Jeff as her wings. And after Jeff was diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2000, Freedom returned his gift. Between sessions of debilitating chemotherapy, Jeff's visits to Freedom and their special bond soothed his spirit and gave him the strength to fight. A tender tale of hope, love, trust, and life, this moving true story is an affirmation of the spiritual connection that humans and animals share.
