Immersive Analytics is a new research initiative that aims to remove barriers between people, their data and the tools they use for analysis and decision making. Here the aims of immersive analytics research are clarified, its opportunities and historical context, as well as providing a broad research agenda for the field. In addition, it is reviewed how the term immersion has been used to refer to both technological and psychological immersion, both of which are central to immersive analytics research.
The seven-volume set of LNCS 11301-11307, constitutes the proceedings of the 25th International Conference on Neural Information Processing, ICONIP 2018, held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in December 2018. The 401 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 575 submissions. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th International Conference on System Analysis and Modeling, SAM 2018, held in Copenhagen Denmark, in October 2018. The 12 full papers and 2 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 24 submissions. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 15th International Conference on Cooperative Design, Visualization, and Engineering, CDVE 2018, held in Hangzhou, China, in October 2018. The 34 full papers presented in this book together with 15 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 75 submissions.
