Heavy Body Artist Acrylic Paint, previously referred to as High
Viscosity, has a thick consistency for traditional art techniques using
brushes or knives, as well as for experimental, mixed media, collage
and printmaking applications. Impasto applications retain crisp brush
stroke and knife marks. Good surface drag provides excellent handling
and blending characteristics with increased open-working time. High
pigment load produces rich, brilliant, permanent colour.

The water-based, high-quality aqua-Linoprint colours contain natural binders such as gum Arabic as well as organic/inorganic pigments. They are easy to apply due to optimum open-times and result in even, sharp prints with fast drying times (wipe-resistant after approx. 15 minutes).
All colours offer maximum light fastness (4 and 5 stars) and an excellent intensity (especially black). The formulation for the colours in tubes and jars is the same. Due to its fluid consistency all aqua-Linoprint colours can easily be applied to different surfaces such as paper, felt, cardboard and suitable also for wood engraving and printing with various materials.
The smooth colours are of pleasant odour and can be overprinted with other colours. They are intermixable, ready to use and can be diluted with water.
Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Inks are an oil-based range of
bold, permanent colours designed to be with washed up with soap and
water. They are an opaque ink with excellent coverage and by adding
Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Transparent Extender you can
create transparent colours while maintain the inks viscosity. These
inks are designed to print onto smooth fabrics that do not possess
a heavy texture or stretch such as cotton, linen, broadcloth or
denim. Nylon and canvas are not recommended. Your printing block
can be lino, wood or any similar surface and soft rubber rollers or
brayers are ideally suited for inking the block.Speedball’s
Fabric Block Printing Inks will dry to the touch overnight
depending on your climate and they do not require any setting with
heat. It is recommended you wait 4-7 days before washing your
fabrics after printing.
This innovative range of oil-based inks can be washed away with liquid soap and water, without the need for harmful and often more expensive solvents. Ideal for printmakers interested in a safe and non-toxic alternative. Caligo 'safe wash' inks are available for both relief and intaglio printing. Contains a small percentage of driers (less than 1%).Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks are suitable for all types of relief printing, for example, linocut, woodcut, wood engraving, photopolymer and letterpress. Safe Wash Inks are oil-based, this means you can still use many of the modifiers used with traditional inks. For example you can use Magnesium Carbonate / Talc, Cobalt / Manganese Driers, or Caligo Wiping Compound / Tack Reducer etc. We also stock Caligo Safe Wash Oil - a washable oil that you can add to any ink from the Safe Wash range when you need to thin your ink a little.
Speedball Supergraphic Black Ink is the flagship colour in the
Speedball Professional Relief Ink range. Developed in consultation
with the printmaker and tutor Bill Fick, this is a rich, velvety
black which holds detail well and will not clog up a block halfway
through an edition. Like all colours in the range, this ink is a
lightfast and fully archival oil-based printmaking ink which can be
washed up with just soap and water.Speedball Professional Relief
Inks are designed for all types of relief printing, especially
linocut and woodcut. Because this ink can be thinned with water, it
is preferable to print onto dry paper. This is an 16oz (473ml) tin
of Supergraphic Black (PBK7, Speedball Lightfastness rating I). It
is suitable for mixing with any of the Speedball Professional
Relief Ink colours. To increase the transparency of this ink, add
Speedball Professional Relief Transparent Base. The ink can be
stiffened with talc or magnesium carbonate, and thinned with water.
