The primary contention of this book is that, as a spiritual being,
each of us lives beyond death, and eventually returns to earth in a
new human body. With this knowledge in mind, the authors give much
sound practical advice as to how parents, and others who spend time
with children, can welcome a soul to the world and help it grow
into a healthy and responsible human being. Mainstream educational
policies and practises can result in children being pushed
prematurely towards adulthood, before having had a chance truly to
experience childhood. As the authors demonstrate, an understanding
of the nature of the human being as comprising body, soul and
spirit leads to the conclusion that every child should be allowed
to grow slowly into the world. 'One of the main purposes of this
book', write the authors, 'is to demonstrate that human beings are
primarily of spiritual nature, and only secondarily of bodily
nature'. They explain how these two natures complement each other
in the processes of maturation and development from the period
before birth, or incarnation, to maturity. As well as a firm
philosophical grounding, Your Reincarnating Child discusses
critical questions surrounding the pre- and antenatal periods,
including issues connected to clothing, food, play, work,
technology, discipline, and much more.
Reincarnation -- by which human beings return to live on earth --
is a concept most often associated with eastern philosophies rather
than Christianity. In this fascinating book, Friedrich Rittelmeyer
explores reincarnation from a Christian point of view, arguing that
it has a place in modern Christian thought. Reincarnation can
sometimes be exploited to justify daydreams or imaginary past
glories, or can harden into a legalistic reckonining of vice and
virtue. Rittelmeyer's approach is different: joyous, essentially
Christian, and full of a sense of freedom as he struggles to find a
path through the pitfalls on the way to a Christ-filled acceptance
of reincarnation. Drawing on the work and inspiration of Rudolf
Steiner, Rittelmeyer was able to encounter the cosmic truth of
reincarnation and, wrestling with human doubt on every level,
courageously grounds it in human reality.
A journalist's profound investigation into the reality behind an
intense waking vision and the search for healing after death *
Details the author's vivid waking vision of a dying German soldier
in World War II and how he discovered the soldier was a real
person, including his research into German military archives and
meeting the man's surviving family members * Explores
synchronicities, reincarnation, and communication across the veil
between life and death * Reveals how the author helped the dead
soldier find forgiveness and healing While on a spiritual retreat
in Peru, journalist Stephane Allix experienced a vivid waking
vision of a soldier dying on a snowy battlefield, followed by
scenes from the soldier's earlier life. He also clearly saw the
man's name, Alexander Herrmann, and felt a disturbing sense of
closeness with the soldier. Obsessed by the power of this extremely
real vision, Allix began an intensive investigation that revealed
this individual had actually existed: a German soldier who died in
World War II during the 1941 Russian campaign. As he began
retracing Herrmann's past, he found that the other images
accompanying the battle scene were also of people who had truly
existed and were close to the man who died. Diving deep into German
military archives, meeting the man's surviving family members, and
following his own intuitive hunches, the author also discovered
that the soldier was part of the Waffen S.S., the infamous
Totenkopf Brigade, and his investigation broadened to explore what
drove Herrmann to become part of such an organization. While
Allix's initial impression is that this German soldier was a past
life, as he progresses in his rigorous investigation and his
decoding of the events surrounding it, he realizes that it was
actually his own work with the paranormal and his unresolved
feelings over the death of his brother and his father that made him
particularly sensitive to the veil between life and death,
culminating in the soul of this dead soldier coming to him in
search of forgiveness and healing. Allix realizes that his mission
is not to bring about the rebirth of this person but to heal
him--and the victims of his ignominious actions during the war.
Offering a fascinating exploration of visions, synchronicities,
reincarnation, and the connections between the spiritual and
physical planes, When I Was Someone Else shares a powerful message
of healing after death along with the profound epiphany that light
needs darkness to be perceived.

What exactly is the Human Mind? Unique in this entire world, yes,
but how exactly does it work, what exactly is it made of? Where
exactly is it? And the question the author poses is-is your
thinking mind actually what the Bible refers to as your spiritual
soul? And if it really is a spiritual soul, can it really survive
mortal death? What force powers it? Just flesh and blood, or is
there some other invisible divine force behind its incredible
powers? The author confesses to having been born into this life
complete with memories of several previous lives. It was after
these previous lives that he also remembers being born, literally
remembering being squeezed out of his mother's womb! And if that is
not amazing enough, he also truly believes that he can remember
being conceived in his mother's womb. A dramatic out-of-body
experience has given the author confirmation that your id, your
inner being and your purest spiritual form, can and will survive
outside the-body, quite independently, without any body mass...The
author was once a sailor on a Tall Sailing Ship and recalls
drowning in the cold sea, and later, in another life, he recalls
serving as a Solider in the First World War, and so is able to
theorise how, when the time comes, one can cheat Death. ..

For many years Veronika van Duin has been able to see "over the
river" experiencing spiritual dimensions and worlds hidden to the
physical eye. With clairvoyant vision she has perceived angels and
demonic beings, people who have died, and even events taking place
in other parts of the world. But in 2002, with the passing of her
mother Barbara Lipsker, the author's spiritual journeys became more
concentrated and frequent, and she began to see people who had
recently crossed the threshold of death, including the victims of
an airplane disaster and a suicide bombing. In A Rainbow Over the
River, the author tells her remarkable story, from her earliest
glimpses of the other side to her most recent excursions "over the
river." In the second part of the book, she records an intensely
moving diary of her mother's passing, rich in love, care, and
profound understanding of suffering. She describes how, despite the
sadness of losing their mother, Veronika's family see the death as
a transition to a new existence and, ultimately, as a great
festival of life. In the third section of the book she speaks of
her mother's life as a pioneer of Camphill, a social movement that
provides home and work for people with special needs. She also
offers thoughts on birth and death, grief, healing, prayer, and the
meaning of existence. A Rainbow Over the River is a glorious
celebration of life, illumined through a knowledge of death and the
eternal nature of spirit.
Using the latest scholarship and evidence from the Dead Sea Scrolls
and Gnostic texts, this groundbreaking work traces the history of
reincarnation in Christianity--from Jesus and early Christians
through Church councils and the persecution of so-called heretics.
