What happens to us when we die? Does heaven really exist? If so,
what does the afterlife look like? Although death happens to
everyone eventually, we know little about the process and the only
way that we can get answers is to talk to someone who is already
there. Through channelled mediumship communication with a spirit
called Battrick, this book attempts to answer some of those
questions. The spirit world wants us to know that the essence of
who we are does not die with our physical body. We are all
spiritual beings having an earthly experience and the energy that
is 'us' cannot be destroyed; this life is not all there is.
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made
available for future generations to enjoy.

Ingrid Way has practised Earth Magic or White Witchcraft for many
years, and has been initiated into many traditions of the craft,
particularly Wicca and Earth Magic. Ingrid and her former partner
Kevin Carlyon formed the Covenant of Earth Magic in the 1980s,
which based it philosophies and practise on the worship and respect
for the universal forces of nature. This book is the result of many
years practical experience, some may find it contradictory in the
sense that it is entitled "Earth Magic for the Solitary
Practitioner", yet the book is loosely based on Pagan and Wiccan
theory. It is written with the Solitary Pagan in mind, therefore
does not include a lot of group or Coven workings.
How do we know for certain whether there is a Spirit World? What
proof is there? Who has the answers to this illusive mysterious
concept that evades the best minds there are? To begin with, no-one
has come back physically to give us proof that there is this world
beyond the material world. The only person documented was Jesus
Christ, over two thousand years ago, as the story goes, and nobody
since has been quoted as being authentic, we are made to believe.
So why is this, when we talk about life after death? In reality, it
is not possible for the physical body to survive and return as it
was previously. Once the material body disintegrates, there is no
way it can return. So where does that leave us? Precisely in a
dilemma, wondering. To begin with, people get mixed up with the
body and the spirit. That is the real item that continues after
death and nothing else. This spirit has many names to describe this
essence, which in reality is the thought world and this is how we
can contact this thought, by a medium who acts as a mediator
between the person sending the information via the medium to those
waiting for the proof, so that they can be identified. This
information was passed on to me by my spiritual guide.
