This makes them ideal for use with all drawing and painting media. Because these panels have been made by hand, they are not perfectly uniform and may display slight differences in texture. The surface of the panel may appear perfectly smooth, or be slightly textured like cold-pressed watercolour paper. If a perfectly smooth surface is required, they can be given a light sanding with fine grade sandpaper.
