Pierce Black, a stereotypical, heartless cold-blooded murderer, is
on the loose. Pedro Luan, the worst possible man-monster, is
slashing and killing innocent women. A band of nightriders are
destroying the crops, livestock and buildings of innocent ranchers.
They get orders from a mysterious unknown who calls himself "Ben."
Such is the world around Snake Eyes, Colorado, in the early 1890's.
The rancher Max Jason and his family are caught in the middle, and
will have to fight to survive. The Sons of the Double-J include
Wes, the retired gunfighter; Fran, the intellectual philosopher;
Mike, the skilled craftsman; and Alex, the fun-loving cowboy.
Sylvia, the teen-aged sister, strives to be respected as much as
the men in her family are. There is also a young town marshal, Nick
Fain, who is smart, but untested. This is the story of each, and
how they live and love and fight against the evil forces that
surround them. As the vandalism and murder continues, each member
of the Jason family will face a crises, alone. In each case, it
will be a matter of life or death.
