A well-dressed mother takes her son Charles for a walk in the park
with their pedigree Labrador and worries when the dog is chased by
a scruffy-looking mongrel and she sees Charles talking to a rough
looking child. At the same time an unemployed father takes his
daughter Smudge and their scruffy mongrel Albert to the same park.
The dogs and children have a great time. The story is told in four
voices, each parent and child giving their own perspective on the
same event. There is much to think about in this wonderfully
illustrated story. (Kirkus UK)

What do they see? What do they say?
An intriguing and involving book that invites examination again and again.
Witty and thought-provoking. Subjective viewpoint.
The park reflects the character’s moods and perspectives.
Come for a walk in the park... What will you see? What will you hear?
