Biolife CLA (Conjugated Linolenic Acid 80% ), is believed to reduce cholesterol and blood sugar levels as well as reduce body fat.
A double blind, randomized placebo-controlled study, published in the Journal of Nutrition found that 3.4 grams of CLA reduces fat and preserves muscle tissue. It has also been shown to increase metabolic rate, decrease abdominal fat, lower cholesterol, Triglycerides – and lower insulin resistance. It has also been shown to help with weight loss in people with hypothyroidism. Regular exercise should be incorporated while taking CLA in order to enhance its benefits.
In a separate study at Purdue University in Indiana, USA, CLA was found to improve insulin levels in about two-thirds of diabetic patients, and moderately reduced the blood glucose and Triglyceride levels.
It has also been shown to help with weight loss in people with hypothyroidism.
It is of the utmost importance to include a program of diet and structured regular exercise while taking CLA in order to enhance its benefits.
