Hearts in Zion is the continuing story of Bruce Hopkins' family
during the early 20th century. As the prosperity of
industrialization grasps the country in the aftermath of the Civil
War, the coal camps of Eastern Kentucky are established. With the
coming of the Great Depression the people of Hopkin's homeland face
hardship and abandonment, but manage to survive and pass on the
stories of their bloodline to yet another generation
