When cooling the room, up to six gallons of air per second is drawn into the base of the unit. The air is then forced up through the machine to the exhaust where it is acclerated through a 2.5mm opening. The exhausting air helps carry the surrounding air through the room for maximum airflow. With no blades chopping the air, there is no annoying buffeting and no dangerous exposed fan blades that can collect dust and dirt.

The AM05 comes with an internal ceramic heater that heats the air before exhausting it out back into your room. Just as the machine helps carry existing air around the exhaust when in fan mode, cool air around the exhaust of the AM05 is heated as air travels out the machine. The internal heating element is safe and will automatically turn itself off if the machine is tipped over. The heater will never burn dust or debris inside the machine so no smells will be emitted as it is working.

The AM05 Hot+Cool comes with a full-function remote control. Control heating and cooling functions, fan speed, temperature and oscillation all at the touch of a button. A small easy to read LED display will show you the target temperature that the AM05 is working for. When not in use the remote cleverly sits atop the AM05 via a magnetic surface. The AM50 Hot+Cool comes with a standard 2-year warranty through Dyson.
