This book is a piece of history. What's more, it holds the power
that the earliest missionaries walked in. It is a document of the
salvation of a people. The Moravians were some of the first
missionaries of modern times to heed the call and GO! Saved under
the leadership of visionary Count Zinzendorf in Germany, the
Moravians kindled a revival that lasted for over a hunderd years.
During that time, men and women heard the call to bring the gospel
into unknown lands before any other group would dare to go. This
book is a foundational work describing the first efforts to bring
the gospel to the inuit people of the far North. As such it is an
important document. It is a window into culture, describing the
Inuit people of Laborador as they were before European influence.
But perhaps most importantly, it is a view into the spiritual birth
of the people. It carries the initial spiritual keys to a people in
history, and shows a people group first standing up to grasp their
spiritual destiny.
